Favorite Rapper

You know how people have their favorite band/s? For you guys who like rap (like me!), do you have a favorite rapper?

Mine has to be T.I. because he's has good rhymes IMO.

I only listen to underground Hip-Hop these days, so for me it's Necro. Check him out along with Jedi Mind Tricks, Non Phixion and Ill Bill.

T.I. to be honest, not cause he's mainstream, but I never understood his talent. This is coming from a guy that used to listen to 50 Cent years ago.

But hey, people have their tastes.

And as it is my duty as a moderator, I must demand this be moved to Entertainment (now I wish I could've done that myself, silly GCC)

I guess my two favourites right now are Lupe Fiasco and Travis McCoy (of Gym Class Heroes). Not particularly unknown (especially since Gym Class blew up), but I like 'em all the same. I listen to quite a bit more rap than just those two, but I'd say they're my particular favourites right now.

i dont listen to rap much, but i do like snoop dogg and other old skool rappers, like onyx and cypriss hill

My favorite rapper is Everlast, formerly from House Of Pain. He mixes hiphop with elements of alternative and blues. I'm sure a good number of you have heard "Then you'll really know what it's like."

T.I.? You serious? He has no lyrical prowess whatsoever. He couldn't even compare to heavyweights such as Lupe Fiasco or Gift of Gab.

Although I named two of Rap's finest lyricists, in reality, there are way too many rappers I like to call one my favorite.

I have to say Gym Class Heros and Ashreu and Blue Back of the Unspoken Heard are my favorite rappers. Very good lyrics and beats.

Studio recordings: Slug from Atmosphere, ****ing amazing lyricist - not the best flow in the world but I love Atmosphere and him none the less.

Freestyle, I've never heard anyone better in this area than Eyedea - too bad he sucks on studio recordings.

Don't listen to that much rap anymore, or hardly at all. But Nas is awesome.

I listen to some rap *nod*. There's definitely Gym Class Heroes and Lupe Fiasco (who I see is already quite popular. Kudos for the awesome taste). But I also like Scribe, he's awesome. Makes songs about things I can relate to (none of this "my *****es and bling" crap XD). He's from New Zealand, btw. Anyone else heard of him?

Lupe Fiasco is good I think. I still think T.I. can spit, but that's my opinion.

Yes Will! Necro is awesome, I regard some of his tracks to be the finest Hip-Hop tunes I have heard. I'm not too sure of alot of the track names, but there is one in particular about cocaine addiction, it completely sums up one of my best buddies in almost every detail.

I don't like very much rap but for me the best rapper is Eminem.
