Killswitch Engage

Right on, one of my favorite bands currently out there. It pretty much pisses me off they are the vans warped tour, but oh well. I wanna see them august 2nd when they come to cleveland as well. I really love their CD "the end of heartache" Their newer stuff "as daylight dies' is pretty kickin too. What do you all have to say about em?

Particularly, I don't really like their music at all. It's substantially too plain and not very well thought-out. Also, I'm not really fond of hard rock.

Umm dude, KsE is actually a pretty good band, and their genre is 'Metal Core'. They are a pretty good band and I really don't like to hear that much screaming bands but they have some sweet songs. I really wouldn't say their music is 'plain' because it's not really like a lot of other bands.

I like their older stuff, Alive or Just Breathing is my favorite album. Bet you would never guess by my username I liked em, though, would ya? :p

I went to see them with In Flames and As I Lay Dying at the 9:30 Club, but was booted for underage drinking just as In Flames came on. Missed KsE altogether BUT ... got to meet As I Lay Dying as they were loading equipment and got to chat a bit with em. It was worth it, I think.

They're pretty decent for a metalcore band, I like a few of their songs. The main thing I can't stand is the lead singers clean vocals. They're so...bad.

Actually, he's singing quite well, imo better than most other clean vocals ive heard.
Ive been getting into this band a lot more recently, and i must say i do like them, they're quite different from what i usually listen to, so it's a nice breath of fresh air every now and then.

To be honest I haven't heard much of their newer stuff, nor have I listened to KSE in a long while, but "Alive or Just Breathing?" is by faaaar my fave album they have released. I mean, Howard is cool and all, but Jesse was the vocalist for the AoJB era. I sometimes wonder what would have happened if he stayed with the band. Him leaving the band sucked, but I think Howard was probably the perfect replacement for him, and now he's doing his thing and doing a damn good job from what I know.

Oh, and I'm obviously not a "core-hater", but KSE was the band that actually got me into heavier music yeeears ago, and I am thankful for that. I've since gotten into much more...brutal stuff. XD But, I definitely have KSE to thank. :]

I really dislike this band. Although they may have better riffs than most metalcore bands, the fact that they covered Holy Diver and just killed it has convinced me to stay as far away from this band as possible.

To me, they're just another boring, whiny metalcore band in league with As I Lay Dying, Still Remains and the like.

You're kidding right?
This band is incredibly plain. They sound just like every other metalcore band I've heard.
