What do you guys think is the hardest guitar riff to play?

There are some pretty difficult ones out there... but i think that
Megadeth - The Poison Was The Cure is pretty freakin hard..

Any guitar riff in any Nirvana song outscores the difficulty level of any song (that is not a Nirvana song) ever made. This is a well-known scientifically proven fact.

i think i read this correctly... and if i did please tell me your joking. haha. anyway, there are lots of difficult guitar riffs. the intro to cowboys from hell took me a while. I think the most difficult one i've written is one from a song i wrote called "Don't Know". as for other artists music... id have to say the breakdown part from "One Shot, One Kill" by Dying Fetus is pretty difficult.

Indeed. Kurt Cobain was a virtuoso among virtuosos'.

It dosen't take a genius to see that pretty much any riff written or played by a Virtuoso would be the hardest to play.

Anyway, I'd say most things Petrucci plays. He's just that fast. But I'm a bass player, so alot of guitar parts will seem hard. It's not really my primary instrument.

The intro. To me it's the most difficult riff. Damn its hard...

It's not difficult if you can do tremolo picking.

Try "Flattening of Emotions" by Death. The first riff is simple enough, although the timing may throw you off, but the second one is just so damn fast it's almost impossible... just trying to stop it from degenerating into a bunch of noise as you throw your technique out the window is half the challenge.

Its funny because I've been playing the guitar for around 4 years, and I've only attempted to learn one song by someone else, because I'm all original, Oh ya!

But um, Any rift(I know, its riff but I always call it rift so we'll go with that) in Classical Gas except the intro.

I'll pick back up on track.. I play bass, but I think Bed Of razors would be kinda hard on guitar, alot of COB songs seem hard to play. Hm, Some trivium songs seem kinda hard too liek Gunshot and some of detonation.

It is hard. The rhythm is pretty easy, but the lead and fills make it pretty difficult. Still one of the easiest Bodom songs, though.

haha first of all, you guys are crazy... i have never heard a nirvana song that has been anywhere near challenging.. lol chris cowboys from hell is easy you fool... but yeah, one shot one kill is an awesome song, but i've never tried to learn it.... yet any of you guys ever try Megadeth - the poison was the cure? if not... you should... haha it's hardddd
