Local Musicians/Bands
Hey everyone.
 So, I like my music, as we all do. What kind of bands or artists have originated from your locality? This is.... kind of cheating, but I can begin by naming two (although they're not particularly local) The Fratelli's: http://www.myspace.com/littlebabyfratelli Great punky/rocky trio from Paisley, they're just breaking through here. Paolo Nutini: http://www.myspace.com/paolonutini Excellent solo artist, also from Paisley, with possibly one of the best solo artist albums to be released all year. Both of the above have had my favourite albums released this year, and I'm scrambling for tickets to see both. (I'm constantly listening to XFM: http://www.xfmscotland.co.uk/ for ticket chances  )So, how many bands from your area have broken through in the industry? Pantera originated in Arlington, which really is just a short drive from here. Probably not even 50 miles away.

Good Bands:
Sinister Farmer's Big Machine Fog of War Okay but Over-rated JBD Crappy bands XIII D.O.S. (Destruction of the System) Big Bands that came/ still are from my area: Metallica (though LA can also claim them they really quickly left there due to the glam scene) Santana Journey (atleast Steve Perry) Green Day

Gastonia-Charlotte Areas...
My favourite band to come from around here is Between the Buried and Me. Another band just one state down, from Florence, South Carolina...is Through the Eyes of the Dead. : D

A band with a couple of aquantinces of mine from highschool - Glen Morrow Mews.
My friend used to be in a band called Miss.Red, but they seem to have called it quits. He does a little bit of production work for the above band now. A band I saw at a show my friend's band was playing at that absolutlely blew me away was Approaching Zero. I seriously reccomend them to everyone, they're a fusion of funk, jazz, rock, and are one of the most amazing instrumental groups I have heard.

I killed the prom Queen Carpathian No surrender xBRING HER DEATH!x Fallouts Preset Failure Yep, Local bands are good. Though not many great bands besides from hardcore come out of adelaide.
