My Chemical Romance and Their New CD

Sorry if I shouldn't be posting this. But there hasn't been a MCR thread in a while, so.... Yeah. >>

Anyway.

MCR has a new CD coing out, folks. The Black Parade, released October 24th (October has a lot of CD releases. oO).

You can listen to their new single, "Welcome to the Black Parade" here or here.

Just from that song, it's obvious their music is going to be very different from the past. More dramatic.

What do you think?

For some reason, "Welcome to the Black Parade" reminds me of Coheed and Cambria, Queen, and Green Day. I'm not sure what to think. I personally prefer their older songs to this new one, but there's still a chance for this new album to hold promise. =]

When I saw the video for their new song, I thought it was a cover.
I probably won't be checking this out. If I do, it would just be out of curiousity.

Since I liked their last record, I'll take a look at this one, but I heard the first single and wasn't impressed that much. I find it interesting that they are going with a concept album again, but since they did a good enough job with Three Cheers, I'm not that concerned about it.

Really? They sound like Sum 41, to me. But I get what you mean. I bought the thing on iTunes, which gives you a bunch of samples of their new songs. Their way different from both of their albums.

Wow. I am genuinely surprised. That new song of theirs was actually not completely awful. Do I detect a hint of Queen?

Oh, it was still awful, but again, not completely so.

Something tells me that when it gets airplay behind it, I will hate the living **** out of it. I really hate the emo hair trend as well. I ahte the lead singers hair cut aswell, but I really don't care what hair someone else has.

The new album is gonna be sweet in my opinion. From the two songs I've heard from it so far. "Welcome to the Black Parade" and "Cancer" it seems like they have matured alot. I will be getting it.

My sister has the album, and she's a huge fan! I always here her playing it, really, REALLY loud >_>. So I've heard it so many times, not that I have a choice. Sometimes, I don't mind it that much, but when it's 11:30 at night, and your trying to sleep for school the next day, hearing her blast MCR on her stereo over and over again can get pretty annoying *nods*. X3

Yes I love MCR their new song is really good too, I have thier first and second albums
And cant wait for the black parade, but I am really into queen now!

I don't like their music, but the CD player in my car is broke so I have to listen to the radio and every other song is the black parade. I wish the drummer would have ripped the into off correctly and played the "Bolero" quote, at least that would have made him seem like a cultured musician with some classical in his background. I do think that this is a step into a more tolerable direction, but there music still doesn't rock.

That wasn't the drummer. Through out the whole CD, they use tracks. There's, like, 167 in total.

Why?

I managed to get an advance copy of the record, and it's not bad. I think they musically it's different than Three Cheers in a lot of ways, but there's really no evolution as a band. It's not worse than Three Cheers, but it's also not any better. So it's a good record, but nothing new or stellar really. But this is only based off of one listen, and it took me awhile to get into Three Cheers, so I wouldn't judge it based solely on what I have to say at this point.

Oh, and you can stream the entire thing over at The Black Parade site.

I downloaded the album, and it was alright. Better than Three Cheers, not as good as Bullets. I only really like a few tracks, and I can't remember or tell the other songs apart.

Meh. I'm not really a big fan of Bullets. The only song I particularly like off that album is "Demolition Lovers".

The Black Parade is good. =D I acutally have "Mama" stuck in my head at the moment.
