Japanese Songs
WHo here knows some awsome Japanese songs. I for one love them and find the easier to listen to then the music I usually listen to. I for one love Wind and Yellow Moon, both by Akeboshi. I also like Rewrite by AKFG. Post up songs that you like.

Re: Japanese Songs
Both are good songs, it won't let me listen to them but if I remember correctly they weresome of the better ending songs. Yellow moon was especially nice music, very intricate while still easy on the ear. FLOW also did a few good songs for them that were top notch, they got a huge crowd response at Animefest (their first concert in America.)

Re: Japanese Songs
I love all of BoA's songs. =D
And I like Nana Kitade's Unerasable Sin. There are many others, but I don't know the names... ![]()

Re: Japanese Songs
Anime openings are a great way to ease into Japanese pop culture. Take it a step further and start looking into full albums by those artists and stuff from similar ones, too.
![]() My tastes are constantly evolving, rotating, but there was a time not too long ago where I listened to asian music almost religiously. Big fan of the works of X Japan, Janne da Arc, Bump of Chicken, Gackt, The Pillows, Maaya Sakamoto, Mikuni Shimokawa, Kokia, Hitomi Shimatani, Arai Akino, Do as Infinity... all that kind of jazz. Check out some of the first bands named if you're into more rock-ish stuff, the others if you're into something softer or poppier. Too many excellent songs to name with all of them.

Re: Japanese Songs
Similar to Tsukasa, I also got into japanese pop/rock through various anime. I don't watch it as much as I use to, but I still listen to a fair bit of music.
I listen to Dir en grey, The Pillows, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, L'Arc~en~ciel, Cowboy Bebop (Yoko Kanno), Akeboshi, FLOW, The Massmissile, Raiko, little by little, Orange Range, Dragon Ash, Stance Punks, Ore Ska Band, and some others to name a few. Definately try Dir en grey, Ajikan and Laraku.

Re: Japanese Songs
I'm generally the same as Yami and Tsukasa. I first got into Japanese music through listening to (and liking) anime themes. After living in Japan for a while my tastes have changed a bit though.
I second all of Yami's choices - they're good artists to start off with.
