*moved thread to entertainment forum*
I'll let this thread remain open, but next time you create a topic, make sure you use proper grammar so people will understand what you are saying, and also try to explain more about what you are writing about. Such as, why is Thousand Foot Krutch the best band ever? Can you explain for us? Who is Thousand Foot Krutch? |

Re: Any Thousand Foot Krutch fans out there?!
My God, my ears are bleeding and they won't stop! Yeah, I've heard of the band from my church and stuff, but never gave their stuff a listen...And that was probably for the better. It's probably one of the worst bands I've ever heard, and that's frankly scary considering some of the God-awful bands I've heard. Well, back to listening to my "satanic music."

Re: Any Thousand Foot Krutch fans out there?!
Thousand Foot Krutch is actually one of the better bands out there in their genre, I believe. Rather than everyone saying "this music sucks," let's give a reason why it's no good, such as "the guitars aren't even in tune," or "the lead singer can't even hold the note for two seconds." Anything besides "this is a ripoff of Korn."

Re: Any Thousand Foot Krutch fans out there?!
This isn't a ripoff of Korn, I think Marilyn Manson took that ever since "Triniquet". It's very typical. It has everything you would think about when you think of crap rock. I was trying to listen to "move" while I typed this up but I was too irritated to continue. It sounds like one of those bands; you listen to them because they're Christian even though they suck. Kind of like how people listen to Slayer because they're antitheists not even though they suck. They're more like a Faktion ripoff then a korn ripoff. Only faktion has one good song these guys have zero mediocre songs. Right when you listen to the first second you can already say, this song's going to be extremely bland and have a very annoying chorus.

Re: Any Thousand Foot Krutch fans out there?!
Eew. I'm listening to "Absolute" as I'm typing this. While it's obvious that I can stand them, I don't enjoy their music much at all. To avoid looking troll-ish, I'll explain myself. First, the lead singer's voice is very typical of the punk (read: pop) scene today. Nasally, weak, etc. When he tries to pull off 'screaming', it makes me cringe at how badly he fails at it. The guitar work is very, very simple, nothing special about it. The chorus of this song is overly poppy, though I will admit that it is quite catchy. But not in the good sense, more like, "Why is this in my head?? Shoot me now!" Overall, while Thousand Foot Crutch seems to have a rather good lyrical message, the way it's presented more hurts the band than helps it.

Re: Any Thousand Foot Krutch fans out there?!
TFK isn't a ripoff band. They may have similar sounds, but saying X sounds like Y, and in my opinion, Y is better, so X is a ripoff of Y. It always seems that people criticize Christian bands and say they try to copy secular bands' sounds and styles. Why is it that only secular music can be original?
Having said this, I think their first two CDs were a bit better than their current one, The Art of Breaking. In fact, I don't think they're the best band out there, but they're better than a lot of ones I've listened to. Not saying that you can't think they suck or whatnot, but I don't think KoRn sounds a lot better. Each to his own, I suppose.

Re: Any Thousand Foot Krutch fans out there?!
Regardless of whether people think it rips off of other bands, I like Thousand Foot Krutch. I have the albums Phenomenon and The Art of Breaking, I like them...they have a great sound. I haven't listened to The Art of Breaking properly but I enjoyed Phenomenon, I found it good cruisin' music.
