Re: Lostprophets

I haven't ever really listened to them a lot...but I have heard a few songs by them.

Got a question since this is a thread about them, did they do the song Rooftops? I have heard that they remade it, or that some other band remad it, wasn't sure.

Re: Lostprophets

The only song I've heard by them is "Last Train Home," and coincidentally is one of my favorite songs. Gives me chills everytime I hear it. I really should look into more of their stuff, given how much I like this song. Great band, in my opinion. Despite my hearing-only-one-of-their-songs thing. Any reccomendations for other songs??

Re: Lostprophets

" Wake Up"a.k.a. "Make a Move" and "I Don't Know" are some good ones, also" Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja" is a good one too. the funny thing is, the title" Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja" isnt said at all in the song." Start Somthing" is one of my favorites. hehe "Last Train Home" is the song that got me hooked on Lostprophets also.

Re: Lostprophets

I love this band. ^_^ I've heard under ten of their songs, but all have been enjoyed. My favorite is Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja. I like all their other songs I've heard as well. Rooftops is also a great song, it seems pretty emotional, kind of a "Live as much as you can" sort of message. Or maybe I'm looking into it too far. >< XP
Anyway, yes, I like them. I'd like to hear more of their music in the future.

Re: Lostprophets

i saw the same thing in "Rooftops" as you did, just live and do all sorts of things don't waste you're life kind of message. This is one of those bands where every song you hear, they get better and better.

I'll be sure to check those out. Do they have more albums than just Start Something? I think they're pretty new, no?

Re: Lostprophets

"Liberation Transmission" is their newest album and "The Fake Sound of Progress" is their first album.

Re: Lostprophets

lostprophets are <3

Well, used to be.

Fake Sound of Progress was great. Just so kickass.

Start Something was a bit softer, and a bit more mainstream, but still great. Still unique.

Liberation Transmission fails. it just fails. "Rooftops" is the only decent song on the cd, and it still fails. It sounds like the recycled pop-punk "emo" of today. The band said that they were changing their sound a bit. I took this to mean that they would take yet another step up. Instead, they walked right into the crowd.

I'm disappointed ;_;

Re: Lostprophets

I personally like their new sound. Then again, I'm into most bands that are like that, so it might just be me. I still love the classics, though.

I'm going to their touring on September 8th. The one in Fort Worth, TX. It's about an hour's drive from here, but it'll be worth it to sing in the car with three other friends and go to our first concert all together. It's going to be fun! ^-^

Re: Lostprophets

Heard them and I didn't like them. They are just another "Iwannabepunk" band along with simple plan, Panic! At the disco, fall out boy, and headly.

Re: Lostprophets

I wouldn't say that for most of their older songs. The new album is just a new style they wanted to try out, I don't know if they're keeping it or not. You should listen to the older songs, though. I figure most people like them for those songs more than they would for the new album, since it's what made them so famous in the first place.

O: That's where I was born!! If I were you I'd be hoping that they play some of their old songs as well as the new, otherwise there'll be some really angry hardcore LP fans at that show.

You obviously haven't heard any of their old stuff. This is making you sound ignorant.

True, it's probably just a new style that they wanted to try out, but I'm not sure if they'll ever go back to they're old sound. If you listen to all of their songs, you can kind of tell that Start Something (the album) was the beginning of their fall towards mediocrity. If they climb back out of this pit, they'll be legends.

True, save for the people who are just jumping on the emo bandwagon.

Hardly ignorant, of course I have heard there old stuff which I dislike for entierly diffrent reasons. but I live in the now if this is about the lostprophets then it is about them now not before. So I chose to voice my oppinion on what they are now not before because now is all that matters. If this was about the history of the LostProphets then I would voice my dislike for there old stuff, but it's not.

So don't make staments about me unless you know what you are talking about.

Re: Lostprophets

since you categorized them with Fallout boy and Panic, I assumed that you were referring to their current sound. Which you were. Since you're reasonf or disliking them seemed to be because of their current sound, I figured that you'd never heard any of their older music.

This is a thread about the band, and I saw it as a place to state opinions about the past, present and future of lostprophets.

Don't be silly. I always know what I'm talking about.

It was just a misunderstanding. Sorry for hurting your feelings <3.
