His Infernal Majesty
Better known as HIM. Not BAM, HIM. BAM just had enough money and bought their heartagram symbol. Don't get them confused. Especially if you're talking to a Goth. You could potentially get pulverized (at least that's what I know coming from WI).
Being my third favorite band (1- System of a Down, 2- Coheed & Cambria), HIM definitely r0x0rs my s0x0rs. Or rocks my socks (though I prefer the 1337 phrase) if you're against "hacker slang." But it's not just me that is crazy about this band. In fact, I've noticed that so many people who listen to heavy metal appreciate HIM, and most of those go beyond that and are crazy about them (like me). But what do you think about them? t3h 1337 or t3h sux? Awesome or mediocre? Tell me. And the others who are reading this thread.

Only one reply in almost two hours? Come on! Where are you Foamy, Pandora (unless both of you are BAM fans)?
Anyway, I think that this band is well deservant of this ASCII thing that I worked on for 5 minutes. Hope you can tell what it is: ^.............^ \.\.........././ -\.\.^.^././ -.|.|.^-|.| -.|_/./.-..| ...\../...../ Quote:

Re: His Infernal Majesty
I don't care much about HIM. The music's okay, some songs I actually do like... But it's great they're doing so well outside Finland. About Ville Valo, he's slimy and... slimy. Not me nor my friends can think of any other adjective about him. Oh the slimyness... Yuck.
Bam I hate, can't stand that guy... Good I don't really have to, the TV has an off-button.

Re: His Infernal Majesty
Hmm, about two years ago I was a gigantic HIM fan. I bought all their albums (yes, even bought
) and had band shirts and all. Then, the hype started to fade away, and soon I didn't listen to them anymore... Untill! A few months ago I stuffed gone with the sin, wicked games and your sweet 666 on my ipod. I started to like them again, and at the moment they once again roxx0r my s0x0rs. teh win. Oh and a list of their albums, according to my bad memory: Razorblade Romance Greatest Lovesongs Vol.666 Deep shadows and Brilliant Highlights Love Metal and the upcoming album: Dark Light

Re: His Infernal Majesty
The 'Satanic' element was due to the incorporation of the 'Heartagram's' Pentagon half, which is apparantly used in Occult Practice, but Ville Valo said in an interview, that this merely represented the bad side that Love has
![]() H.I.M is a beautiful band, as a few people know, bfore I made my own siggy, my Sig space said 'All I want is you, to take me into your arms, when Love and Death embrace...' (Favourite song!) If I wish to be critical, I would say that despite the fantastic music they produce, Ville's voice can occasionally really screw the song - for Example, for a lamentable mournful song like 'When Love and Death Embrace' and 'Salt in our Wounds' his voice is perfect, but I cringe when he 'attempts' to sing in more lively songs, like 'Right Here in My Arms,' 'Wicked Game' being the only exception. I love H.I.M, but sometimes, as much as I love him, I have to say ; ''Ville, no offence man, but you can't sing...at all.'' |

Re: His Infernal Majesty
Thank you Sear for giving this board a skewed view that metal needs to be evil and kvlt. >_>
Anyways, the heartagram is a ****ing putrid and horrid disgrace to the pentagram it is originated from. Now, HIM =/= metal. Sure there was an album called Love Metal, but that means ****. It was not a metal album, nor were the remainder of HIM's albums. Aestetics do not play any part in a bands genre. I mean sure alot of bands in certain genres rely on them ALOT, but it doesn't mean ****. Anyways ... don't argue with my post. HIM are not metal, never have been. I know more about metal than about 90% of this board so ...
