Since Yellowcard has died away and is currently silent, we have the next, more EMO band next! We're stuck with My Chemical Romance! YAAAAAAAAY!!!

Oh God, not them. I can't stand them.

Never think you'd be hearing those from Emo Kid, the same kid who once sported 2 different MCR sigs and a MCR avatar? Well, I smartned up. Here is my opinon on them.

No emo. MCR is not emo. It's trying to be emo, then failing at it. Sure, they have the emo haircut down, and the guitar riffs, but it conveys little emotion in their songs. I once tried listening to their newest album and it sucked me dry of all emotion I had. They found a way to take music and drain it for all it stands for. This facade of emo from their newest album was trying to hit it big on the mainstream, before this album came out they were refered to as "Vampire goth" They only became emo for the money and fame I mean with lyrics like "It's not about the money and it sure as hell ain't just for the fame. It's for the bodies I claim" Yeah, that doesn't scream trying to become rich. All I think of them is that they're media whores.

I despise MCR. I'm sorry, but I can't really stand their music and like MI said, they fail at being emo. But what do I care, I don't like emo music.

I think some of their songs are really good. that said they are starting to get annoying as they are everywhere

They...for the most part...are a band left much to be desired. I, however, like a vast quantity of their singles like "I'm Not Okay" and "Helena." But they're not my band of choice, and if they died, it wouldn't really make any difference to me.

MCR is ok. I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of their music but I do however really like the song Helena. The music video is pretty cool too.

i do agree, however, that they can go overboard with the morbid goth thing sometimes, it can get corny

I like MCR, my favourite songs are helena and thankyou for the venom. I used to be a pretty big fan, but all the bands I think i really like, I end up just leaving behind and doing something else.

They screwed up "Under Pressure". Anyone who tries to cover Freddie Mercury is EVIL.

Okay, so the cover wasn't THAT bad, but MCR isn't my favorite and the lead singer's voice annoys me after listening to them for a while. You can do much better when it comes to music but you can also do worse.

Despise them. Sorry. It's not so much them, it's just that my little sister loves them and plays their music over and over and over again everyday (along with Simple Plan and Avril and Good Charlotte... ugh..). Maybe I wouldn't mind them so much if I didn't hear their music so often, but I do. It's beyond an ear beating- it's hell for me to listen to now.

I LOVE them. My favorite song by them is It's not a fashion statement it's a f****** deathwish. 3rd. best. song. EVER!

They fail at being emo because they're clearly not. Only emo thing about them is Gerard's high pitched voice. Emo bands don't sing about killing angels and vampires. Or making a deal with a devil to bring his lover back from the grave. I've listened to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge from front to back, it's not emo... at all.

Even though I know alot about Three Cheers, they're OK in my book. I used to love them when it was first released - which was last summer, they're old news to me. The only thing that's keeping me away from MCR are their little scenester fans. They spoil it for me, it's the only problem I have with them.

You fail as a band, when you try to be emo, and fail at that. And MCR is a shining example of such.

I used to like them, then hated them, then they were decent, now they're mediocre. I'll probably hate them in a few weeks.

First album was a a major hit on me it was rreally cool specially headfirst for halos and demolition lovers.. but then they broguht out Three cheers.. whih is a vbery good album but its become to commercial... no-one knew about them with their first album and all of a sudded random ppl i no who had no idea of them b4 are like" Woah yer i'm a heavy mcr fan.. got 3 cheers yer.." listen to their first stuff!!
