TAKING BACK SUNDAY

Has anyone heard of them their a great band i love them and ive been to 7 of their concerts well if you heard them post your favorite song here

I haven't heard of the great band Taking Back Sunday, but I have heard of the mediocre, bland emo-punk band Taking Back Sunday that has every song sounding similar. Is this the band you are referring to?

eh, I dont know what to say, should I say anything, cuz if I did I don't think it would go down good.

You know, I think I'm just going to go ahead and agree that no, I do not like them. Seven concerts? That's kind of a lot ... wow. Your eardrums must be bleeding.

I like them. Yes they're emo. Yes a lot of people here are ignorant, elitist trollers. No, I don't really give a s*** what they say. :]

Ignorance is bliss my friend, you may like it, and you keep liking them, I don't like them, just they need more originality, just stuff like that, and not to follow this Emo crap, what is Emo? every song is supposed to have emotion, so why do we need another genre, to have super powered emotion about them singing about thier break-ups and crap, jeezes get a life.

i'm with you eijiro and not all emo dont bands just sing about breaking up with their girlfriend.

If you say so. But, I've heard of this band. They're actually from the next town over.

Actaultly, a lot of people here know good music.

As for Taking Back Sunday, I havent really heard much of them seeing as I don't listen to emo music much these days.

Yeah exactly what I mean. You all think the music you like is so much better than everyone else's and those that have different opinions are inferior. It's really quite pathetic.

Actualy, Im not one of those 'elitist trolls'. In fact, I like some type of music that 'elitist trolls' would find disgusting. Besides, my comment was sarcasim.

I've heard two or three of thier songs and I can't say I enjoy what I've heard.

I used to like that kind of music, but I don't anymore. It's too angsty.

Boring, generic... fleh they're Warped Tour material. Not my thing.

It's sad because it took me a few seconds to realize that you were being sarcastic.

Emo music isn't anything special, it's just like metal/punk, except with "emotion" put into it. Unless you make the clear argument that all music has emotion put into it, the entire "EMO" genre is pointless.

No. People call it emo because they didn't know what the hell else to classify it as. If you just thought of it as music and listened you might have a better point of view, whether that be you hate it or like it more. You can't say it suck just because of it's classification. That's like saying Fruit Loops are for homosexuals.

And yes, I've heard of Taking Back Sunday. I loved the album Tell All Your Friends, but Where You Want To Be wasn't too good. There were some good tracks on it, but as a whole the first album was better, to me at least.

I like them ok. The singer needs to learn how to stay in key, but on the other hand he does that cool trick with the mic. Though it was funny as hell when the kid did a stage dive and got caught on the chord and it ended up choking him. They are also the writers of the most emo lyric I've ever heard to date...
