Primus anyone?

Does anybody like Primus? So few of the people I know have heard them. My favorite song is "Shake hands with Beef"!

Re: Primus anyone?

I liked it when Ozzy played his own songs featuring modern rock bands. He played N.I.B. with Primus. The bassist did a great job.

::raises hand::

Claypool is quite talented. They have some hilarious songs too. As a matter of fact, I'm listening to "Laquer Head" at the moment.

Re: Primus anyone?

Larry LaLonde deserves alot more credit than he gets in this band. He is an amazing guitarist, I mean he was playing in Possessed at 16 (listen to Seven Churches to know why this is a big deal). I hate that Claypool gets all the attention in the band.

Good band though.

Re: Primus anyone?

All I know about Primus is that they did the theme song for Malcom in the Middle, as well as the rest of the show's music (aside from one or two cases).

Possessed I have heard of; I should probably look into them.

Very true. I'm guilty of overlooking him myself sometimes. I believe he learned from Joe Satriani.

Re: Primus anyone?

I <3 Primus of course. With hilarious lyrics, weird melodies and talented musicians, who can not love them. Sea, a metalhead like you should know about them... even they're more funk metal/alt. rock than true metal

(in fact, by inspiring KoRn, Primus is one of the bands that started nu metal, although that doesn't make them any worse)

EDIT: oh, and I forgot... Sea, the theme song for Malcom in the Middle was made by They Might be Giants.
