Kurt Cobain is one of the most overrated musical persons ever.

He could not play his guitar for **** and his voice is just grating. Needless to say, I am not a big fan of Nirvana at all.

AiC was what made Grunge good. Not Nirvana.

Personally I love his voice and his lyrics. The guitar was simple, but incredibly catchy!

Yeah, very overrated, just like Nirvana (which is the most overrated band ever).

I really don't think Kurt Cobain had much talent at all. As previously stated, Alice in Chains is really much better than Nirvana. Sorry, I find Nirvana extremely annoying.

Nirvanna truely is overrated. You can find so much better music out there other then them. Cobain wasnt that all impressive at all.

Frankly I think he's better know for his death than his life.

Nirvana is like U2 for me. Terribly overated, although thankfully to a smaller extent than the latter. I don't find them catchy at all really-- the only people I know that like them too much are stoners(persumably from their accounts though). I can't say I apperciated Kurt's image as a struggling idealist too great either. Foo Fighters aren't too bad though, if a little too radio-rock.

But seriously, I think Nirvana is an ok band. I do have to agree though, they are highly overrated. I mean, there are actualy better gunge bands out there like others have stated but I don't listen to grunge music very much.

I hate to speak badly of the dead, but he's truly so overrated because he's dead. Whenever an artist of any kind dies, they're suddenly the greatest.

I'm agreeing with most people here. Nirvana played some seriously simple music, and they are quite overrated as is Kurt himself. And yeah Will I noticed the same thing with Tupac; I had no idea who he was, till I started hearing alot about him when he died. It's like we need to lose something to realize (or think blindly) how great it was. But either way, he apparently had some influential lyrics that some people wanted to hear.

When he died, girls in my grade all of a sudden became Nirvana addicts.

Yes i will admit he was an idiot for comiting suicide, buti think he's definatley one of the greats.

I like Nirvana, but they are mediocre at best. I'd say with Kurt it's like this Lyrics 8, Guitar 5, vocal 6. I like the lyrics a lot, but he was never did too well vocally or instrumentally.

Yes, Tupac is probably a bit overrated as well just because he died, but myself I don't like him because he's dead. He actually has done some great songs that I can relate to.

Nirvana is actually one of my favorite bands, and being a fan, no I don't htink KUrt killed himself. I know that Kurt couldn't play guitar for crap, he knew that and I know that, But I like the way his voice sounds, and the passion he puts into it, and I still thinks his lyrics are great. He was one meesed up dude with the fetis thing and the dollhead thing, but he's still sweet...
