Sacred Songs

For reasons unbeknownst to me, I find the song "American Pie" by Don McLean to be sacred. In fact, I hate the movie American Pie simply because it's what people automatically assume you're talking about if you say American Pie in a conversation.

So, what songs do you find to be sacred?

Re: Sacred Songs

Well, to me really thing by Pain of Salvation, because through my years of listening to music I have never found a band that exposed themselves to their fans so much and showed so much emotion in their music as they have.

Re: Sacred Songs

I am in love with Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix. He himself is sacred and this is one of his best songs. Which makes it Sacred to me.

Bah. Though Hendrix did it first, Stevie Ray did it better.

Mosh by Eminem. It makes sense to me since I don't like the War in Iraq or Bush

Everybody's looking for something.

"Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This" by Eurythmics. I know, it's a sort of old one, but it really means something to me. That song helped me through my high school years somehow. It's hard to explain. I think of "Sweet Dreams" as a good old friend, always there to talk to me whenever I feel like it. Even though she always has the same thing to say.

Re: Sacred Songs

One of the songs sacred to me, is ''Keep ya head up'' by Tupac Shakur. The reason is because it is directed toward women in general, and although old, the message can still apply to the world today.

Re: Sacred Songs

I guess "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd has a sacred meaning to me. I won't say why though.
