System of a Down

Great band, who likes them. Toxicity is the best album. The bass guitarist plays the guitar backhanded, nifty.

Definately download - Aerials, Chop Suey, Psycho, Radio/Video, Cigaro, Deer Dance and Spiders (to name a few)

I know i did say they had a Zelda song and i know better know but for everyone that checks this thread out and this post.
They did not do a Zelda song, another band (Rabbit Joint) did.

ANYWAY...

I like them. Then again, I have a habit of liking currently popular bands...but hey. That's why they're popular. ^_^

BYOB saved them, I think. I think they were becoming less famous, and then it came. Poofy!

But my favorite song is probably Chop Suey. ^_^

Actually, today I had an arguement with my friend. (Well, it wasn't really an arguement. it's just one of those things we have that I always end up getting right. It's a habit of mine to prove her wrong. ^_^) I was at her house, and we were lioseting to BYOB and her brother comes along.

"You like this song?" said my friend.
"Uh...yeah?" (as in, DUH!) said I.

"Bring your own !" cuts in her brother.

Me: "NO!! Bring your own BEER!!"

"HUH?" says both of them.

Actually, the Zelda thing was mentioned in the topics initial post, therefore it DID have something to do with the topic.

System of a Down in my opinion is a bad band, but some of there songs make me laugh b/c of how stupid I think they are...no offense

I used to be crazy about System of a Down. I liked their self title and Toxicity. My favorite song from them was either Shimmy or AeRials.

I don't like Steal This Album very much. Mezmerize is alright. Don't ask why, I just liked their older stuff better. For you freaks that have to bash me for what I just said, shut up and get a life. I just don't like their newer stuff.

I don't really listen to S.O.A.D. anymore. I still think they're alright though.

Chop Suey is my favourite S.O.A.D song!
I bought Mesmerize a few weeks a go, my favourite songs are B.Y.O.B and Violont Pornography - the singer has such a diverse voice, that can be aggresive, passionate, sorrowful, and yet funny (think of the "Yet you feed us lies from the tablecloth...la la la la la la la la la la - Oooh!)

Brilliant man - and the bassist goatee - that's plain awesome!

The band is okay...if not good. Toxity was a nice album...so was Steal This Album! . Mezmerize is kinda *ehhh?!* and I only like about five songs...those being:

B.Y.O.B.
Cigaro
Old School Hollywood
Lost in Hollywood
Violent Pornography

The songs have little to no worth on Mezmerize, but who says all good song's lyrics are worth ****? lol Anyway, I like them, but won't stand up for them if they get put down.

But I will say this:
I wish Ashlee Simpson would explode for ruining CHOP SUEY!!!!!!!!!

I like their older music, due to the sheer powerful nature of the songs, but I find the more comical songs, Like BYOB on Mezmerise brilliant!

It is good that a band dosent just rely on and reuse one single theme, but to incorporate lots of other elements!

My favorite band. I made a SOAD topic a while back but it died a slow death. Yeah, I love all their albums and I can't wait for Hypnotize!

I agree. Well, I don't think they're bad... just not good.

Their lyrics crack me up, although I'm not sure if I'm laughing at them or with them.

System of a Down are okay for what they are. They have some interesting lyrics and some of their songs are actually pretty good, but they're just boring for me. They haven't progressed much over the course of the last few albums they've done, though it's still decent enough. I can hardly call them great, but I guess they're good once in a while if you want something kind of loud...although I prefer plenty of other bands to them for just that purpose.

I like some SoaD every now and then. Alot of their songs are very catchy but sometimes... they all sound the same. I think they're just that type of band that doesn't progress/change their style. I think it would be strange if they suddenly sounded different, but that might be because I'm used to their style.

The singer is one of my favorite vocalists in a band. Hands down to him. And Aerials is also one of my favorite songs. So I like the band, even if it isn't one of my favorites.

BTW, the SOAD singer was the one that sings the zelda song, along with The Rabbit Joint.

My brother's a huge SOAD fan. I think they're okay, but I don't like the way the lead singer often sings/yells (it reminds me of "Animal" from the Muppets). The Armenian influences are pretty cool, though, I grant you that.
