Haha. This is pretty neat. A thread being planned within a thread. Good luck, guys.
Anyway, I'm going to continue with the list I'm working from.
495. New Day Rising - Hüsker Dü (1985)
Well, what can I say, Kiss's "Destroyer" was a disaster. A mockery to be placed ahead of Public Enemy. I decided to put the past behind me and listen to the next album on my journey, and that would be "New Day Rising" on September 28, 2009.
Wow, I can already tell that I'm starting to fulfill my goals: I'm expanding my taste in music. Now, I'm really not into punk. At all. But this album helped me respect it more just a little bit. While most modern day punk bands have trouble finding a good balance between heavy and melodic, I think Husker Du found it. Every song is enjoyable and has spunk. I was hoping maybe this album would be some sort of influence for Social Distortion, but that was after I realized that SD came first. Maybe I'm just overpraising this because it's just that much better than "Destroyer", but I found a new love for punk. Thank you, Husker Du.
