Megadeth-Endgame

Just got it after school today, and, wow, just wow.
It's a bit early to say, but i think this is a real thrash classic!
Dave sings and plays better than ever, Broderick(spelling?) is amazing, and best of all, there isn't single "meh" track on the whole thing.

Top 3 songs:

1.
"44 Minutes", epic track, heavy riffs, great vocals, awesome melody in the chorus(Baptized in a firefight part...awesome) and i LOVE the rhythm during the solos.

2.
"Dialectic Chaos", brilliant opening track, instrumental. Really sets the tone for the rest of the album.

3.
"How the story ends", not a really in-your-face thrash song, more like Youthanasia, Countdown stuff. i'm running out of words here, so...just great again.

Even if you only remotely like metal, you should check this out, one of Megadeth's best.
and, the verdict:

IT DESTROYS DEATH MAGNETIC, hah!
seriously though, this is the best album i've heard in a long time 10/10(oh yeah!)

(not my pic) this doesn't have anything to with this, but it's bargain of metal awesomeness, go buy it!

so what are your thoughts, if any? (sorry fer teh messy post)

Re: Megadeth-Endgame

I just listened to some of the songs on the Megadeth MySpace. Honestly, I'm not hearing much thrash beyond one or two songs. It sounds like solid heavy metal, but nothing particularly impressive either, which is in line with the last output from the band. Dave's voice also sounds a bit worn and less diverse than it used to be, but of course he's also getting older. I don't know, it definitely doesn't seem to come close to the first few albums, but it's probably better than Youthanasia and similar.

Re: Megadeth-Endgame

I bought the album at launch have been constantly spinning its tracks to this day. I agree, "Dialetic Chaos" and "44 minutes" definitly recreate the old Megadeth love that I welded for them after hearing the "Rust in Peace" record. In regards to old Thrash, I think it's dead. Even Mustaine said it himself: "If I wanted to re-write Rust in Peace, I couldn't."

Oh yeah, and props to Chris Broderick for not being a robot.
