Gorrilaz

The Gorrilaz are a anime band based of the comic book "Tank Girl"
they are a really good band you should check out "Kids with guns" by them.

I had a bunch of their stuff that I never really got into but I put most of it on my iPod anyway and got into it a bit more. It's fun stuff to listen to. I have a ****ton of remixes that I don't really want though, I end up having to sort through 4 versions of 19 2000 before I find the one I want.

It took me years to get into their self-titled album and sort of get the hype, but it happened eventually. Solid record.

Not my favorite band ever, but I do like their stuff. Especially since they've got Del Tha Funkee Homosapien rapping on Clint Eastwood. Do want.

Great band. Love 'em. Then again, I believe there's only, technically, one member that's ALWAYS in songs. The others might show up for 1 or two songs (like Del).

That isn't true at all. The artist that drew the original tank girl comics designed the gorillaz but they are totally unrelated.

Also, the artist who did the Gorrilaz drew the cover art for Mindless Self Indulgence's album Frankenstein Girls May Seem Strangely Sexy.

Clint Eastwood, Dare, and Feel Good, Inc. are all on Rock Band as of a few weeks ago. Rapping is hard.

My friend has Rock Band and I wanted to play Clint Eastwood and they said it was boring.

We played Dare though!

That's odd, the track pack I downloaded had Clint Eastwood, Feel Good Inc, and Re-Hash. Why'd you guys get Dare?

The guitars have tiny sensors on them that determine whether you are "daring" or a boring old "re-hash", and adjusts your content accordingly.

True fact.

I think Damon Albarn is generally fairly smart, despite a lot of self-indulgence.

A handful of songs on both the records are good I think, but parts of each are lacking. Just like a lot of Blur's records. I don't mind their later experimental stuff, but I think a large portion of their early (pre-WOOO OOOH!!!!1) discography is really good, like Parklife.

I think after people started telling Damon Albarn his music was art, he started to think of himself as an artist, which is why, despite Gorillaz good music, it's still a bunch of over-earnest art-pop dressed in layers and layers of self-created mystique. (consider the fact that in concert, even when the cartoon projectors would fail, Albarn insisted on himself and other performers not even once being seen by the audience at any point, and just performing backstage in the dark.)

It obviously was a great concept, very innovative, a popular band whose members are cartoons..
However.....

Ah, mad band. Kids with guns, Dare, and Feel Good Inc. are among the best.

And Feel Good Inc. has been confirmed for Guitar Hero 5.
