Dead Leaves is quite easily my least favorite of that pack. I'd rather have something more... Elephant-y or Icky Thump-y. White Blood Cells doesn't have a single moment of Jack White losing his damn mind all over the guitar, and I just don't get hit with that album the way every other White Stripes fan in the world seems to.

I'd rather have Let's Build a Home, The Hardest Button to Button, Little Cream Soda, Black Math, or even better, Ball and Biscuit, a 7:18 venture into the bluesiest of the White Stripes, and the longest of Jack White's incredibly enthralling solo guitar.

Wiped and installed Windows 7 on my computer, so when I went to get a media player I installed Foobar. I still have to go through and fix all the info on a bunch of stuff, but so far it's alright.

Also, who do you all recommend I listen to? Or should I just wait until the top albums are figured out and listen to the first ten or so?

Well that depends entirely on your tastes. There are literally millions of songs out there.

Sometimes I think I may have overlistened to that album.

Then I listen to it to find out, and it turns out, nope. Still love it. Brian Fallon may be one of my favourite currently-active lyricists.

Not exactly the most daring list in the world but it isn't as bad as I expected it to be. Pleasantly surprised to see Think Tank and Sound of Silver so high. Surprised they didn't place the Klaxons higher, guess they've finally admitted that new-rave never existed.

Biggest surprise on there for me is the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Crystal Castles is the big shocker on my end. I know it got a lot of hype last year, but I wouldn't have expected it to be 'top 50 of the decade' acclaimed.

NME are big fans of both of them as far as I can tell.

Bit surprised that Favourite Worst Nightmare by the Arctics Monkeys didn't get on, they could have swapped it for Babyshambles.

Also, I just noticed that Asleep in the Back by Elbow got on there O.o, it's clearly their worst album, I can't see why they chose it over Seldom Seen Kid

I have 20 of the 50 albums on that list.

I only have 7 .

But I've heard or used to have six others!

Which ones? It always surprises me how different america and the UK are in terms of musical taste.

oh god here's how much of a music ffffffffffag I am: I see the song title of bloc party's Waiting For The 7:18 and I'm like hey that's how long Ball and Biscuit by the White Stripes is

The only stuff I'm really interested in hearing on that list is Wilco, Muse and The Coral. Everything else I've either already tried out or just don't have much of an interest in.

Coral!!! I'm not mad on their album but it is pretty good.

I always assumed that Muse was big in the USA (they're massive here) but I saw folks saying that people are only listening to them because of Twilight and such. really surprised me.
