what is your favorite metal band?

what is your favorite? my fav is Megadeth

!T.O.O.H.!, progressive death/grind from the Czech Republic, amazing stuff. Rád a Trest is a masterpiece.

My favorite band is probably Alice in Chains or Death.

I don't listen to an abundance of metal, but out of what I do listen to, Isis is far and away my favourite.

Can't go wron with some classic Cradle of Filth. Either them or Dimmu Borgir

Hmmm, I don't have a specific favourite due to changing moods, but I'd say Iron Savior.

My others are Ensiferum, Savage circus, Persuader, Amorphis, Arch Enemy, Thyrfing, Stormhammer, Hammerfall, Rammstein, Disturbed, Poisonblack, Paradise Lost, Nordheim, Mors Principilium Est, Manowar, Iced Earth, Fintroll, Gamma Ray, Firewind and Eluveitie.

OMG, I love you. Death is by far the pinnacle of metal. The Sound of Perseverance is going to stay one of my favourite albums for many, many years to come even after I've listented to each song on it probably over like 200 times. Technical Progressive Death Metal at its best.

Of course, Alice in Chains is also sweet. Man in the box is one of my most played songs recently.

Alice In Chains, Megadeth, Slayer, Priest, Maiden, Sabbath, Anthrax, Kreator, Machine Head, etc. etc.

Yeah, words can't do either band justice. My favorite Death Album is probably Symbolic, may favorite song is probably Cosmic Sea or Spiritual Healing. My favorite Alice in Chains song is Frogs, album: Alice in Chains.

(also disturbed isnt metal, they turned into a hard rock band though with metal elements anyway they suck less than they used to now)

also people calling alice in chains metal? People tend to forget that alice in chains is more metal than grunge usually.

not really although some grunge bands are sort of like that.

There are various hardcore punk + metal genres that arent grunge, see crossover thrash and sludge.

Mine would have to be Kill Whitney Dead.......... I know they use a lot of sound clips from shows and movies but they're still pretty descent........ =] It's sad though cause a lot of their songs aren't long enough for me......... =/
