Remove Slayer and put Testament there and that would be more accurate.

But yeah Testament is the way to go and in my opinion the best of the thrash. ESPECIALLY The Bay Area thrash!
I saw Testament play last summer and they sounded awful. Either they don't know how to play a large outdoor venue or their sound man was drunk. Or they just aren't good live.

More like ...And Justice For All.
Testament is cool, but as already stated they are not part of the Big Four.

I actually own ...And Justice For All. Great album, but the Black Album is much better, IMO.

I think the sound man was drunk because they are quite smashing live.

Master of Puppets says Hi. Seriously out of all the Pre-Load stuff, Black record was the weakest.

Master of Puppets is Metallica's greatest album.

master of puppets, ...and justice for all, and death magnetic are the only metallica albums I have liked. And I've listened to most of their work.

Re: Big four of thrash?

In my opinion slayer is the best. It is my favorite band. i think megadeth would come next. I dont know much about anthrax, so that would be the last one. metallica is 3rd, but i think that they are kind of stupid, specifically Lars.

^What's your problem with Lars?

...And Justice for All and Black are Metallica's best in my opinion, and no one should forget Kill Em' All and Ride The Lightening.

I like all of Metallica's albums, except for Re-load (even though it has my favourite song on it )

Re: Big four of thrash?

Megadeth were probably the best of the bunch, up until about Countdown to Extinction, but I think I prefer Slayer solely for the contributions they made in inspiring much of the extreme metal scene over the years. Metallica are and have always been hacks, and Anthrax usually make me want to vomit.

Re: Big four of thrash?

I just got to jump in and say that the music video for "Frantic" from Metallica's St. Anger album is pretty funny. Mostly because of James.

Of course, I haven't given the genre much listen. All the options on that list I haven't listened to much of their stuff, but I know Metallica has good stuff.
so you basically are talking about Dragonfarce i mean force?

'Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?' owns all. So Megadeth tops the cake for me. Slayer's one layer down.

I really did not understand what you said, but I think you called Dragonforce a farce????

If you meant that, you just called one of the best speed metal bands a farce...

I listened to mostly Megadeth and Metallica so I'm gonna pick them both. However, I do lean more of the Megadeth side.

No it's not. Speed metal is a genre that grew out of heavy metal, both as a precursor and a contemporary of early thrash metal. Eventually, both inspired early power metal, such as Helloween. Dragonforce does not resemble speed metal in away way, because speed metal is not defined by its tempo (as the name would suggest), else most forms of extreme metal would also qualify as "speed metal".
