Tenacious D is okay. The first song I heard by them was The Metal in GH3: LoR (I'm not entirely sure that wasn't a cover, though). Then when I started playing RB2, I heard Master Exploder. I do like that song.
I suppose I need to look further into them sometime, though.

The D is awesome. There is no one that ranks anywhere near them in terms of style and execution. They flamboyantly proclaim themselves to be the best band in the world, while simultaneously addressing the fact that this is just opinion. They respect the great musicians of rock, and yet all of their songs are mockery to them. And what's even more? They make some damn good music doing it.

ok I love the D but this poll blows. there needs to be a no option or else it's a joke.
anyhoo- I do LOVE the D but they need to quit milking the same set and write some new farking material!!!! And if JB and KG decided to go off and make a fully legit (ei: no silly potty humor) record, I'd totally listen to it, too. Those guys have real songwriting chops!
