"Prickly Thorn, But Sweetly Worn" by The White Stripes. I'm a sucker for a mandolin, and the who old-world vibe it has to it is just something new and awesome and different.

Regina Spektor - "The Call"

This made me go all weepy and embarassed at the end of Prince Caspian today. Since then I have listened to it countless times, downloaded it (and her debut album) and thrown them all on my iPod. The gorgeous mix of suitably punchy, yet oftentimes subtle and alluring singing, and the melodious background music adds to one of the most emotional songs I've ever heard. Expect to hear more rants about Regina Spektor in the future <3

and yes, Icky Thump is a brilliant album. "Rag and Bone", "300 M.P.H. Torrential Outpour Blues", and "Effect and Cause" are my favorite tunes there.

I just discovered these guys, and I absolutely love them.
The Wombats Proudly Present..A Guide To Love, Loss and Desperation is a fun album. :]

At the moment, (from The Mars Volta's entire Deloused in the Comatorium album), "Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of)" is a great tune.

Re: What Songs are you Obsessed With 2: Electric Boogaloo

I can't decide between the songs on Shinedown's new album The Sound of Madness.

Either "The Crow & The Butterfly", "Second Chance" or "If You Only Knew". All different sounds than their previous two albums, more modern and alternative but still with their old ways. These three songs are mostly slow songs and are delightfully catchy and thoughtful. :]

Aye, I'm aware they aren't the first. Just curious :]

Pink Floyd: Goodbye Blue Skies

Overall, I think I prefer Animals to The Wall, but I've been in the mood for the Wall recently, and Goodbye Blue Skies is just amazing.

Re: What Songs are you Obsessed With 2: Electric Boogaloo

Obsessed with a few songs at the moment. It might seem like a pretty random selection, but that's how I likes my music.

Caffeine (live) - Faith No More
One of the best songs, from their best album, and the song is even more amazing live.

Village Green - The Kinks
Really addictive little tune, this.

Carnage - Anaal Nathrakh
It's a cover of a song by Mayhem but I absolutely love what Anaal Nathrakh have done with it here.

did you know that when her family moved from The Soviet Union they had to leave the piano behind, so for years, she would practice silently on the kitchen table top? I heard a great interview with her on NPR's "All Songs Considered" http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=5518985

Waterloo Sunset is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. If I was a lesser man, I'd be sobbing like a gunless Texan right about now.

"Mercy" by OneRepublic.

I don't even associate with all the lyrics. It just feels pretty powerful.

Lip Gloss and Black - Atreyu

Ah, gotta love that guitar solo. Brilliant lyrics, too. I've listened to it at least 40 times in the last couple weeks according to iTunes.

Re: What Songs are you Obsessed With 2: Electric Boogaloo

I'm just generally on bubblegum pop hype at the moment, so the Backstreet Boys have been playing a lot. (Yes, I'm a fan of the stuff. So sue me. :P)

Also, Something Corporate's "North" and Motion City Soundtrack's "Even If It Kills Me" CDs have been playing a lot the last few days. I love both of these bands to bits and pieces, and their sound is just what I'm craving.

No real reasons aside from those given.

I just got the full Genki Rockets album and I am addicted to the whole album. Every song is like a separate super single

So yeah, currently on Genki Rockets - Never Ever "Genki Rockets I -Heavenly Star-"

Be back in forever :3

Alright, I'm back in the "Animals" mood again, so:

Pink Floyd: Dogs

This whole album is amazing, but this song in particular is amazing me right now.

Heart's Burst Into Fire - Bullet For My Valentine
Propane Nightmares - Pendulum

Weird mix, but I just alternate between the two. I saw Pendulum last week and they were just incredible, thus making inducing this continuous fetish of listening to their music.

Re: What Songs are you Obsessed With 2: Electric Boogaloo

Rebirthing - Skillet

Supernatural (Acoustic) - Flyleaf

Critical Acclaim - Avenged Sevenfold

Well I just saw Skillet down in Summerfest so that's why I'm obsessed for that. Um I don't know why I am for Supernatural really, just in the mood for Flyleaf. I don't usually listen to slow songs a lot though either. Critical Acclaim I've just always loved and it's like punching ignorant people in the teeth with its lyrics. Don't worry I don't really wanna do that in real life blah blah blah. But sometimes they try your patience.

"Shhhh...Quiet you might piss somebody off, Like Me! Mother****er you've been at it for too long!"

Yeah, nice.
I'd probably prefer you don't comment on mine even though it's encouraged cause I'm pretty sure you'd mostly just flame it.....it's what you usually do.
