I'm trying to convince my dad to let me get a thunderbird. He thinks it's a waste, oh well. were going looking tomarrow, I'll probably get one anyway.

The insturment I actually can play well is the Alto Saxophone, but I recently bought myself a violin, and I'm teaching myself how to play it. I also have a keyboard I'll play little tunes on, and an Ocarina of Time. XD

Well, I wouldn't call myself a bassist, not yet. But I'm getting there. I've been learning on my older sister's Squier P - Bass but I will get an Ibanez GSR200 (unless you guys can recommend something better but similar in price) and probably a lil' 10 watt practice amp.

do it. I have that bass, it's actually really good considering how darn cheap it is. You can get that bass with a 15 watt practice amp, cable, bag, phones and stuff for like, $300 I think (I've been looking at basses, I know my stuff). However, If you're into playing rock or metal, or whatever, get a thunderbird! that's the bass I'm getting soon. It looks cool as anything, I played on a few days ago, tone is great, nice and deep and bassy, and it's only $300. If you got the extra cash, I would suggest it.

Yeah, I think I will, I have the money saved from Christmas and my birthday in February (I've been saving for a while ) and I've asked my mum.
She isn't too sure because she thinks its a waste but I reasoned with her and she's considering it. At the very least I'll buy my sister's off her.
That thunderbird seems class, I might buy that once I get a bit better.

I don't play many, honestly. I dabble a bit but I won't say that I play. I'm pretty good with acoustic guitar, recorder, and a violin. But that's just about it. Trust me..you do not want to hear me play the violin. I butcher it *hangs head*

I would, however, die of happiness if I could play the piano or samisen.

I can play the guitar (acoustic and electric,) piano, and the flute. I have more talent with the guitar and flute than with the piano, but because I'm learning piano in music class, I do dabble in it quite a bit.

SORRY!!! I just skimmed through the thread for bassist posts. If I had time, I would find every instance of someone saying they play bass and individually tell them they rocked. So again, sorry. You win, too.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I'm also a multi-instrumentalist. I play trumpet as well as bass.

I've played piano since I was 6. Tried violin a few times but didn't enjoy it. Now I want to learn the cello and oboe, and perhaps flute as well.

I play guitar and a bit of piano.

you should put a video on youtube once you get your bass. Once I get my thunderbird I'm making some videos. P-basses arn't bad either. The only thing I can say I don't like about them is the neck. It just feels awkword to me. By the way, if you have any questions like, how to adjust action, or any questions on basses in general, you can PM me, I know all (or at least I'd like to think so).

My Ibanez RG1527 is my baby. I got such an amazing deal on it. I bought an $800 guitar with $200 worth of improvements (Dimarzio Blaze in the neck and D-sonic in the bridge) for only $500. Man, I love Craigslist.

My instrument was made by Bronek Cison for those who know instrument pedigree. year of make is 2000 so its a contemporary instrument, not an old italian one. The previous, and only other owner, was Erik Kim. Perhaps I'll get a pic up later.

The only instrument that I can play is the trombone; I've been playing since 6th grade, so this is my 7th year playing.

I want to learn to play the piano, violin, cello, bass guitar, and saxophone. I'm getting a lead way on the saxophone thanks to Hopeless Romantic, well, whenever I get the opportunity after band class to snag it from him. =P

Synthesizer, organ, piano...anything with a keyboard that makes a good noise.

Also guitar, but not as much.
