Well, I'm into older metal... 80s era. Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, 80s Metallica. You know, stuff that still retains a melodic sound to it.

True, if you get technical, but IMO some is moreso than others...

But again, that's just my opinion...

I was just surprised that Sleep Terror found it to the top of your list, when they're so different from the other bands.

I listen to metal a lot, but overall my favorites are as follows:

21. Lamb of God (I hate the vocalist but Mark Morton makes it bearable)

My favorite bands at the moment, in no particular order.

Children of Bodom, Carcass, Nile, Death, Amon Amarth, Vader, Necrophagist.

My taste in metal is, like eric, constantly changing, so tommorow this list will probably be different.

I like Maiden... and Dragonforce... and Dream Theatre... but thats more Prog Metal... I don't like metal that much.... a little here and there... I prefer Prog and Blues rock...
