I follow individual songs more than bands, but I have to say that I really enjoy the music of Enya. The following songs are great:

Her music is peaceful, but also upbeat. Plus, she is clearly a class act.

Probably not the most popular stuff for the nineteen year old male demographic--would not go out of my way to advertise my like of her music to real-life people . . .

dudes, The Strokes are my favorite band and have been for about 3 months are so. l cannot find a single song that l don't think to myself, God, l wish l could see them playing this at this very moment.

I've been really into Bob Marley, The Doors, and Elvis lately. I love a good groove (like Vegas Groove stuff from the Ocean's Eleven soundtrack) and Bob Marley can lay down a mean reggae groove. The Doors and Elvis both have plenty of sweet groove tracks: Single chords, sweet bass lines, minor sevenths, etc. I love it.

You're onthe right track, but you need to get off the beaten path a little (every band you named is awesome, but very mainstream)

If you like Zeppelin and Deep purple and floyd, try King Crimson and Uriah Heep, and Nektar
