Recently, I've become obsessed with Japans most renowed guitarist, Tak Matsumoto, who is part of B'z and his new group TMG. He's one awesome guitar player.
Also, I really liked School of Rock, so I decided to seee if Jack Black had done any other music. I learned of Tenacious D and I've liked the music since.

Nice list, though I wouldn't say Tak is Japan's most renowned guitarist... he's not really all that special. He's definately good, really good, but there are better that don't get half as much recognition.

I'll re-do my list, I don't know what's new and what's not so I'll just put down my very favourites.

I was to understand that he was the most popular... being famed for talent is the defintion of renowned if I'm not mistaken. Ah well, it's all opinion, there are other guitarists in Japan that I think are just as good as Tak.

You've got a nice list too, that's one long list of absolute favorites. I've heard most of those artists, all are rather good. I just felt like consolidating my list.

No, not at all. A lot of people like Rock, it's a popular and versatile genre.

I've come to like the band My Chemical Romance. I bought thier latest album today.

I've got something new to add to my list.
Though I don't like all the songs, Sugarcult does have some pretty nice ones.
And, aside from the fact that they're not an extreme musical talent or anything, I really love Bowling For Soup and I think some of the songs do have a high sing-a-long factor o.O

And now, in perspective of my past 2 months of sociology, I will investigate to what extent preferring rock music is linked to teenagers hanging around on Zelda forums

I don't listen to very many bands (Only three.), but the few that I do I'm obsessed with. ^_^
