Re: Gorillaz

"Sunshine in a bag" is called Clint Eastwood actually.

There is another album which is Spacemonkeys vs Gorillaz and is called Laika Come Home. It's all remixes, so including that and G-sides there are 4 albums.

Damon Albarn has always been a hero of mine, Blur were fantastic... then Graham left, but that's for another thread!

Re: Gorillaz

Damn, I only have their first album and Demon Days. I've gotta track the others down! Does anyone else like the song "Sound Check" on their first album? I think it's one of their best. "Tomorrow Comes Today" rocks as well, though. God...what a great band.

Re: Gorillaz

Gorillaz are mad good. I'm usually into classic rock, and that type of stuff, but after buying the original first cd, and Demon Days, I was blown away. Gorillaz is a great band, there music is all different, not just sticking to one genre. Demon Days IMO is there best cd, if you don't have it, definitly pick it up.

Re: Gorillaz

I love Gorillaz. Damon has such an open mind when it comes to modern music. My favourite songs have to be 19/2000 (Soulchild Remix), M1A1, Dirty Harry,...probably most of them, although Demon Days I think is much better than the debut. But I still say Blur (Damon's previous band, see Britpop) is my favourite band, I wish they'd get Graham back on their side...

Re: Gorillaz

My friend was really into Gorillaz for the longest time, he doesn't listen to them anymore, but they're an interesting band. Their "Feel Good Inc." song it way too popular though. I used to like the song a lot until it was overplayed everywhere. Now it's going to be on the NOW album. Sad, I didn't think any of the music I liked could be on there.

Re: Gorillaz

My favorite song out of all Gorillaz songs is Rock The House. (best video too ) But on Demon Days my favorite song is probably Dirty Harry. Anyone own the Celebrity Takedown DVD?? It looks really good.

Re: Gorillaz

I haven't really listened to the Gorillaz that much. They seem like a pretty good band though. They're cartoon characters, and the characters sort of look like gorillas, just the faces.

I like their song "Feel Good Inc." I saw their newest CD, Demon Days, at Cat's Music. I was thinking about getting it, but I left my money at home, heh. I might go back and get it some other time, if I feel like it.

Yeah, I like em'. I liked that Demon Days album and their new one is kinda weird, but for me that only adds to their appeal^^.

I'm a huge fan of Gorillaz. Unfortunately, most of my friends only know them as "that band that sang Feel Good Inc."

Most people know them as "That band who did the I ain't Happy, Feelin' Glad" song.

Re: Gorillaz

I <3 the Gorillaz, especially Noodle . I only just got into them though. It turns out that I had heard and liked some of their songs, I just didn't know they were by them. Ex. Clint Eastwood, Rock the House, 19-2000, and 19-2000 (Soulchild Remix). My favorite songs by them would have to be...Re-Hash, Rock the House, Latin Simone, Feel Good Inc., DARE, and Dirty Harry.

Re: Gorillaz

My favorites would probably be Clint Eastwood, Feel Good Inc, Tomorrow Comes Today, El Manana and Kids With Guns.
Ever hear the English version of Latin Simone? It's way better.

Re: Gorillaz

Meh, I have heard the song Feel Good Inc, and its not that best song I've heard, but definitely not the worst either. I love the video to Feel Good Inc tho, cause the characters are awesome looking and the whole video is just really cool.

Never heard it, does the same guy sing it? Or does 2D? I'm asking 'cause I heard of a version of Latin Simone featuring 2D.

Re: Gorillaz

I remember when they used to play their music videos on Cartoon Network, at like one in the morning...Those videos were usually better than the show they were interupting.

Actually, I just listened to it (I tend to not listen to certain songs if I don't really care for the beginning; I always skipped over it to listen to Double Bass) and it's actually really good. The high-pitched voice has grown on me .

That's how I started liking O Green World, I finally listened to it after skipping it all the time, and now I love it.

I think that the gorrilaz music is good and i haven't heard a lot of it. Personally i don't think it's as rockish and grungish as i like. But for me, yeah they be good.
