Electronic Dance Music

So, lately I've been getting really really into electro, house, trance, all that kind of stuff, rave music if you will. I find this music to be purely fun and wild, just right for a party atmosphere. The artists I have discovered include:

Oh man, I've got so much electronic music... Not as much as some, but still a lot. Around 1,000-ish songs.

Yeah, there is a ton of really cool elctronica like Moby, Dntel, B. Fleischmann, and UNKLE.

Sandstorm by Darude is my favorite right this second.

is at the moment my favorite Electro House song.

I love the genre. Pretty much all of what Dom listed.

At the moment the only electronic music I listen to is Daft Punk and Effiel 65.

You'd be surprised. One wouldnt expect to be able to dance to Nine Inch Nails but it can be done.
Im not a fan of the House electronica. Its not really my style. I like some trance though. Shpongle, Ott, Infected Mushroom. I dont know if one can dance to that but you never know!

I love Passion Pit. They're like the only group I listen to that Wikipedia classifies as electronica though. I'm not good with genres and stuff though...so I just typed in a bunch of random artists I liked and looked at the genres wiki gave them.

I don't get into electronic music much. I don't know any of the classifications. the type of techno that DDR has a lot of the time is crap (ok to dance to, but kinda fruity. nothing I'd ever choose to listen to or care to learn the name of the artist/band).

But I like some of the meatier, ballsier stuff like daft punk, Justice, and DIOYY?

EDIT: Oh my god, I just discvered Justice's remix of MGMT's Electric Feel. I want to have sex with it... or at least to it.
Ok so I guess I didn't realize how much I like electronic music... I has a happy

I prefer the original version of Electric Feel, it's more soulful. But the remix is super excellent, too. I love most songs Justice remixes. Speaking of, they need to release a new album, it's been awhile.

Who's seen who live? I don't really have that great of an arsenal to show off, my work schedule always interferes and rarely do any of my favorites tour in Milwaukee. I just don't have enough money to dish out on driving to Chicago & staying over night all the time!

But anyway, for electro artists I've seen:
- Daft Punk @ Lollapalooza (CHI) I died.
- Justice @ Riviera Theater (CHI) I died again.
- Ratatat @ Turner Hall (MKE) I died for the third time.
- STS9 @ the Rave (MKE) I almost died because the e didn't like my stomach. Hahahahaha... oh boy. No, but really I was okay. It just wasn't sitting well in my tummy.

I would LOVE to see these guys (but work + distance = me a loser, lametard):
- MSTRKRFT (they're playing tonight and my heart has been broken ever since I've decided to skip it to save money for my vacation coming up.)
- Chromeo
- Boys Noize
- Digitalism
- Simian Mobile Disco
- Steve Aoki (I think I'd die if I missed him.)
- Phoenix (yeah not electro but Laurent was in Darlin' with Thomas & GuyMan of Daft Punk.... hah, so I associate them with anything Daft Punk)
- Any Ed Banger artist except probably Uffie (haven't been seeing any quality stuff from her lately. Or at all. *scoff*)

Okay, I'm going to stop because I think I'm just going to get carried away.

I enjoy Electronic music such as trance/dance. It's the kind of music you can blast on your car and it just sounds amazing.

Justice does in fact need a new album. I saw them do a sick DJ set on Halloween night with Deadmau5, 2manydjs, Crookers, Major Lazer, and Zombie Nation.

Steve Aoki is beyond hectic and crazy live. He mixes in a lot of metal os people actually start to mosh. Seeing Boys Noize and A-Trak on New Years hopefully.
