Well two of them I would love to see filmed. I just think they might be to cliche.

The first one is about twins, not identical so that one is female while the other one is male. They are constantly fighting because they live a very different life from eachother. Their parents pull a trick that was used in the Bill Cosby Show, the one where Vennesa and Rudy are sent to the basement. In fact the only reason I came up with this story idea was because I was watching this episode in the middle of the night. Anyways for the weekend they are to live down there and only down there. They have a relativly large house which means they have a large basement.(which i guess one of them might point this flaw out for a laugh)

Anyways weird things begin to happen. Its basicly a pyschological thriller, well maybe I dont know. They begin to see things, things begin to happening but everytime something ends its as if it never happened. Leaving the twins in a paranoid state. Through out the movie a small boy is seen, always asking the same thing, 'Will You Play With Me?'

At the end they finally try and get out of the basement, only to learn that they have been down their all of five minutes(well to them its been atleast a day) for whatever reason the parents send them back to their punishment, the door would close and... they hear 'Will you play with me?' Yup, i just ruined the ending for you!

Of course its not perfect. I would still have to figure out why they do not just go up stairs at the first sign of anything wrong. Also through out the movie they would find clues and stuff about this boy and some tragic event.

Over all I think its pretty cheesy, but I think I would still like to see it turned into a movie or even into some story.

The second is less detailed and I doubt this even realistic. It is a scifi movie involving aliens.

A probe is sent to Mars to drill into polar icecaps(well not sure if it was mars but I was watching some show where they theorized that water could be found under miles of frozen water on some planet) Scientists on earth can monitor the drilling. When water is discovered the probe is to put a video camera down. The same scientests can almost see it live. They discover small organisims thriving down there. The next step is to capture them and bring them back to earth(this is where I truly believe this to be more of an impossibilty in reality) A couple years pass and they are finally able to view these aliens up close and personal. Everything goes ok until it has a strange reaction to our atmosphere(some idiot would do something so it would be exposed) It starts mutating...

Basicly the alien begins to terrorize the scientests.

Again probably not the most original ideas. but oh well.

Kate Hudson. That's all a wet - ehem, dream film needs.

That, and maybe another full length animated feature from Shinichiro Watanabe, the guy behind Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.

Now that I think about it, I'd definitely go for the formulaic upstart indie rock band on the rise to fame, but with an alien lead guitarist, who moonlights as an intergalactic bounty hunter. And maybe have Kate Hudson as a groupie (band-aid). Yeah. That would be the greatest movie ever.

I have a film idea.

Starring: Gerard Way, Paul McCartney, Dee Snider, Michael Seater, Shia LeBouf, Miley Cyrus

Synopsis: Tormented by the Jocks and turned away by the cheerleaders, Jared and his friends decide to channel their anger and frustration into music at the suggestion of their music teacher. Once they form a band (not named as of now, since I can't come up with a good name), they make it to the school talent show, and win. Amazed, the teachers suggest they pursue a career in music. Jared and his friends begin writing more music, and soon become popular around school. Summer comes Jared and his band our more popular than ever. Jared is seeing fame and things he thought he would never see. Would it destroy the bands realtionship?

With a cameo by former Beatle and Grammy-award winner Paul McCartney and Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, the film delivers laughs and romance at the expense of those kids you knew in school, but never really knew.

Rating: PG-13 for Crude Humour, Sexual Situations, Violence, and Strong Language.

So, basically a generic coming-of-age film with cameos by famous actors/musicians and a main cast made up of a bunch of teen heart throbs that can't act worth what I can spit? Sounds great.

An idea for a film that I've been tossing around for a while is, and this is very watered-down, this guy gets in a car accident and winds up catatonic in a hospital bed, able to see and hear everything around him but unable to react to it in any way. He sits and watches/listens as his life starts falling apart around him, all because he is in a coma. He sees his wife fall in love with another man, hears about his parents death but can't go their funeral, the doctors talking about possibly unplugging him. After several years of this torture, he begins to wish that the doctors would pull the plug. Several more years pass and he begins to go insane.

Then he overhears a conversation about the doctors giving him a few more weeks before taking him off of life support. As the hour draws near to his death, he begins to realize that he doesn't want to die. He'd rather stay stuck in that hell with the chance of waking up rather than give up. Just before they pull the plug on him, his finger twitches, his eyes flutter, and he miraculously comes out of the coma. But it is bittersweet, as he has lost his wife, his family, and nearly ten years of his life. The last scene is of the man walking out of the hospital very sad but still ready to face life. A kind of bittersweet ambiguous ending.

The film would be kind of experimental in nature, as I imagine almost all of it happening from his perspective, literally. The camera would be constantly looking straight up at the ceiling, people going in and out of frame as events unfold around him. Obviously at the beginning and end when he's not in the coma it would be best to do third person shots, but I think that almost all of the coma should be filmed in first person, leaving his perspective only at key moments, like maybe a shot from a high corner of the room of his wife and another man leaving the room. Stuff like that. Yeah, it's kind of underdeveloped right now, but I've been tossing that idea around for a couple of months now.

Yeah but do you know how much money this film can make? With all these actors/musicans, teens everywhere will watch it! I mean, it can make money, and thats important.

^I present to you Exhibit A. This is the sort of thing that is killing cinema is that everybody just cares about making a quick buck. You said it yourself that this thread is supposed to be about your dream film, not about your money film. Would this movie really be something you would pay to see and think of it as the most amazing spectacular film ever? I just fail to see how that would be a dream film at all. Yes money is important, but so is making a quality film. In fact, I would argue that making a quality film is MORE important than making money. But that's just me.

Cinema is an art, and somehow Hollywood lost sight of that many years ago.

Well, films like the one I made up are marketed towards teens. Teens are the ones would watch (and most likey) enjoy the film. So it would be a quality film for them.

The screenplays I'm writing right now are more based on character than story, so it's hard to summarize the plot. One of them takes place between the years 1957-1963, as kind of like the end of the "age of innocence" in America. The movie, however, is not very innocent, and sets out to dispel the myth of the 50's middle class purity and moral high ground. Another I'm working on deals with a young heartbroken man searching for an old friend in her favorite restaurants. The last is set to take place in the future, either in Hong Kong or Taipei, dealing with the crime underworld. It is a tribute of sorts to John Woo and Johnnie To.

Okay, this is the last I'll say on this because I realize this isn't really a debate thread, but I really want to say this. I'm 19 and I hate all these kinds of films. There. Done. I'm dropping it... now.

I have had many things going on as a "director" in my own life, and here are some suggestions:
-A PROPER real-life film of Spawn
-A "centred" Deadpool film
-New aniamted Batman film based off the 90's cartoon. I...just don't want to have a "new" Joker if there was a new one...
-Oddly, I have had an odd dream about a real-life-cross-3D "Animaniacs" film. Dunno how it'd work.
-A Carrey/Sandler team-up
-Some sort of "team-up" heroes film, much like The Avengers or Justice League.
-A "rebooted" Spider-man film. I'm sorry: a #4 won't work
-A 2nd South Park film (maginationland doesn't count)
-A sequel to "The Simpson's Movie"
-I'm in hope of writing a screenplay for a future Batman film when I get older.
-Halo. Yes, Halo, the film project based off the game thats been in production hell for quite a while now...
-Freddy Vs. Jason 2, or a new sequel for both film franchises.
-Scream 4
-Alien 5. AVP is losing hope from me.
-Metroid. I feel some hope over an idea like this.
*More info coming soon.

I sure hope you make it big in Hollywood. They need more screenwriters like you and not the filth they have making our films already.

Also, I'd make a film that sort of goes along the lines of Crime and Punishment, only its more modern day and the murder happens later in film and not early like it did in the 19th century book its based off on.

"AVGN: The Movie"

Rated R for violence, strong launguage, and consuption of acohol

The AVGN gets invited to dinner at the Irate Gamer's house. Once he gets to his seeminly arch-nemesis'es house, he discovers the nostalgic critic there as well. Then, AVGN discovers that the food he is eatting is poisnous, and he gets knocked out. When he wakes up, he is in a cage. In front of him is the NC and IG, laughing hysterically. It was a trap all along! IG then gives him an Atari 2600 to play while locked up...only thing is, the game in it happens to be E.T. AVGN makes a review of the ****ty game, only to get sucked into the Television. As it turns out, the AVGN has gotten sucked into the world of ****ty games! Can he survive the terrible games that await him?
