Re: Most Underated film of all time?
Umm,a recent one is Enchanted. Now,it may seem like a dumb Disney princess movie by the commercials, but trust me,its much more than that! It about one of the best romantic movies ive seen!
Oh and Hairspray too,it teaches a very valuable lesson about how bad racism is,and how peaceful everything would be if it did not exist.

Jet Li's Fearless.
Great on so many levels, yet it did not get a whole lot of attention. You ought to go see it though, if you haven't already, you won't be dissapointed.

Re: Most Underated film of all time?
By far the most underrated film of all time is The Thin Red Line (1998). The Iron Giant (1999) comes in very close second. Days of Heaven (1978) is third.
Notable Mention: eXistenZ (1999), Eraserhead (1977), The Elephant Man (1980), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Prince of Darkness (1987), Jacob's Ladder (1990), Goodbye Mr. Chips (1939), White Heat (1949), Night of the Hunter (1955), Road to Perdition (2003), O Brother Where Art Thou (2000), The Fifth Element (1997), Babe: Pig in the City (1998), 12 Monkeys (1995) and 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992). I heartily recommend all of these movies. Watch them. |

I know a lot of movie that were underrated, but some I can't name. Some I know of are: Fantastic 4: This movie was fantastic, and they couldn't have done a better job with making a Fantastic 4 movie. I seriously hate how this movie didn't get much recognition. Letters from Iwo Jima: Unbelievable! This movie was one of the best war movie I ever laid my eyes on for only 10 seconds! It was mostly recognized in Japan because Americans thought it was horrible due to the budget they used, but even in Japan it wasn't liked so much. Who cares about the budget? A lot of great movies were made with a low budget, and they were great. Why not this one? If you ask me, Clint Eastwood outdid it again with this one. No arguement. Transformers: Come on, this movie was kick ass! The movie was great, and I think they couldn't have done a better job with the Autobots and Deceptacons transforming from vehicle to robot and back. They just look sweet! Then you have critics saying it was horribly done, yet they aren't a Transformers fan. The movie was made for Transformer fans, so if they don't like it they shouldn't comment so poorly about the movie.

Re: Most Underated film of all time?
I just thought of another one, The Sixth Sense. Beautifully acted and has a suspenseful plot. You should go see it.

Re: Most Underated film of all time?
AI was damn great movie, it just suffered from pacing issues.
The most Underrated film would have to go to Equilibrium. After reading George Orwell's great works, one could label Equiliibrium as 1984, but with Christian Bale and Gun-fu. One wouldn't be far off, but that's what makes it awesome. And if celebrating the human spirit is your thing, I'll also throw Pleasantville into it. That movie didn't get enough love.
