Name a popular film that you hate, despise, or find completely overated.

I have to go with the Superman films and the '96 version of Romeo and Juliet.

High School Musical. God, it is so bloody corny! I don't understand how it managed to brainwash so many misguided kids into thinking it was good. And the antagonist, Sharpie, is a ***** AND a poor role model for young girls. There's a girl who's 5 who's my neighbor, and she says she wants to be like this brat! This character is teaching young girls to be bratty *****s. I despise this film with every fiber of my being.

^I will have to agree. High School Musical is so stupid....

And Hairspray. I admit, I saw it, *throws up in mouth.* Musicals were only cool when Disney did them.

When me and my friends saw Titanic, we were laughing so hard at the end. Thought it was so cheezy. Not the actual ship sinking stuff, but the love story.

Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, all Disney makes is crap these days. It's amazing how they declined from those wonderful Mickey Mouse Cartoons (The retro ones from the... 30's, I think) and all those classic films like Peter Pan, The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, etc. to all this corny kiddie fecal matter, like Hannah Montana, Cory in the House, Wizards of Waverly Place, the aforementioned High School Musical, etc.

I can't wait for the day my sister grows out of these atrocious excuses for entertainment.

My kids are going to have horrible TV. I just need to go buy all the seasons of Looney Toons and Mickey Mouse and all the classics I grew up with and let them watch those.

Same here if I ever have kids. I'll buy the DVD's of Looney Tunes, Mickey Mouse, Tom and Jerry, and all those classics, and I'll block everything on my TV except for the news and The Simpsons.

I believe that it is the duty of a parent to protect their kids from bad TV/movies. If kids grew up watching these steaming piles of feces, not only would they miss out on the classics, but they'd grow up to have no standards when it comes to entertainment.

If she's the antagonist, then she's supposed to be disliked. Oh well, I never watched that movie anyway.

I really liked Looney Toons and Mickey Mouse, but I stopped watching Tom and Jerry. The shows were funny, but the roles are reversed. Jerry is the good guy, and Tom is the bad guy? What?

I should probably buy some old classic DVDs for my nieces to watch. Teach them what real cartoons are supposed to look like.

I can't really think of anything, though. I watch what I watch, and don't care much about what others think of them.

Indeed. Those, the old disney movies and the OLD sesame street for my children...
non of this elmo's world madness for them.

Also,I think Juno is a little over rated.
People don't get to the real point of the movie.
Everyone now just thinks that its cool to go get knocked up at 16 and speak like an idiot :S ...

It was funny, I must admit. However, people must realize that the true message was really "How not to be like Juno" instead of "How to be like Juno"...

HSM is terribly overrated. I saw a few seconds of it and it was just horrible. Heh I just hope no little kids think thats how high school is going to be like. If i do meet someone like this, I am going to slap them with a fish. Yes I said it, a fish.

Although not actually a film, but Hannah Montana is definitly overrated.

The Blair Witch Project is another movie. Although I never did watch all of it because I think I fell asleep towards the end. I just dont exactly see whats so great about it.

Napoleon Dynamite. When i got a chance to watch it, I thought it was going to be great. Everyone seemed to be quoting lines from the movie. I was told how great it was and how hillarious it was. Well I watched some of it... and it was boring. I did find a few things a bit funny; but mostly it was just boring. It looked like they were just saying the lines.

It was just terrible.

That has been my lifetime objective ever since they took off FoxKids. Although not ALL shows will be on.
We're also saving money on cable and drawing back money from that wretched 4kids department.

I agree with all who are saying High School Musical. But away from the kiddie audience is the movie Queen. My mother made me sit through that entire movie with her. Not only is it hard to follow the plot, but also I found it downright boring. It moved much too slowly and lagged forever on a single scene that could've taken only a minute, not 15.

I fail to understand how that could have recieved the awards that it did unless if the people reviewing the movie watched that one first, fell asleep, missed the rest of the ones they needed to watch, woke up, and decided that as it was the only one they watched, it would get the nomination
