Heath Ledger is dead

Celebrities do it all the time... they have tougher lives then we think, course, they usually do it to themselves.

I don't want to say it was suicidal, but every article says it was so far.

He had talent, and it's a shame to see him go. The Dark Knight is finished, and I'm sure that his last big performance will be excellent.

The role of the Joker took a tole on Ledger's sleep patterns and he reported having troubles sleeping for more than a few hours a night. Considering he was found dead next to sleeping pills, it's fair to assume that he accidentally overdosed in a desperate attempt to get some sleep.

^Yeah, he was having insomnia from locking himself in a hotel for a month when he was trying to create his own version of the Joker. But that was about a year or so ago, in pre-production of TDK. Did he continue to have sleeping problems after?

I'll miss him. He was great in A Knight's Tale and The Patriot. Goodbye, Heath Ledger!

I feel like watching a Knights tale now.

I was completly shocked by this. He was so young. Loosing a young, promising talent is a tragedy. He's Australian, too.

It just reminded me how easily someone can slip up. And yes, I do believe it was an accident, and I will believe so until it is proven wrong.

He doesn't seem to make a good Joker, honestly....but I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't be a critic yet.

I just see the Joker as crazy, but at the same time intelligent.
The Joker of the older movie and cartoon was a perfectionist....not this crazy messed up version that I've seen so far.
And now the actor is dead...making it even more difficult for me to critic. ><

Jeez, I saw it this morning in the paper...went to deliver it and BOOM, that article hit me and I was shocked.

Why? Why did it have to be Heath Ledger!?

He had such a talent in the world of acting and he was still young in life.

I won't see the the Dark knight as the same way as I thought now.

I hope that they will dedicate the movie to him before the credits or something, because he should be remembered for his excellent performing skills.

I just heard about this now. It's really sad to hear about this... I enjoyed watching A Knight's Tale long ago. I wonder how I'll feel watching The Dark Knight.

I feel kinda guilty for this. Like in King Kong's "it wasn't the planes, t'was beauty that killed the beast", I felt it was the Joker himself.
He was working hard on the role, and takes risk, much like Brokeback Mountain's "gay cowboy". I mean, he pulled it off, even if people DID make fun of him as a "fag". He took the title that would later consume his life. Even if it was an overdose of those sleeping pills, I felt if it wern't for the role of the Joker, he'd still be alive today.
I think a good song to go with this is "Psycho" by SoaD. I'm off to listen to it.
