new Resident Evil movie
yep, capcom and sony pictures reavealed a new Resident Evil movie in the works. With it's subtitle "Degenaration" and the movie made in entire CG (like FFVII advent children) It seems to follow the games' storyline and not the live action trilogly from Paul Anderson. Takeing place 7 years from Raccoon city and 1 year after RE4. I saw an airport in a T-virus spill with zombies everywhere. confirmed characters are Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
here is the trailer. |

^ I thought so too. I wonder if it'll have some connection to RE5...

aside from the plot, I hope one of my favorite characters from RE1 makes in or has a cameo appearence and that is Barry Burton.

The animation is drop-dead gorgeous . This is the kind of RE movie the series has deserved for a long time, live action just doesn't do it justice. I absolutely cannot wait to see this.

"Flight of The Living Dead"
if there is such a movie called that, I would probably watch it/buy it. I love zombie horror movies. Not all of them though (House of The Dead).

This looks neat. I'm definitely going to check this out. The live action ones are terrible.

Ohohoh. Mr. Scott Kennedy...so nice to see you again. ... I hope he doesn't die. And IF ANYONE screams an equivalent to Ashley's 'LEEEEON, HEEEELP!' I will laugh. Hard. This looks awesome, I can't wait to see what Leon's capable of in a CG action movie :3 especially after seeing what he can do in the game.

Oh please, everyone knows she's just eye candy. Very nice eye candy, but eye candy nonetheless.

yeah the first 2 live action movies were garbarge, but the thrid one I kinda liked. I think they brought in a new director on the third one.
back on subject yeah I hope this new one will be great. I hope it's just as gory as the games. Can't wait to see Leon pop some caps in zombie heads in CGI goodness |

Wicked. I loved the first two films but was really annoyed at the quality of the third. Knowing that a new CGI one is on it's way, makes me very happy.

I thought the first RE movie was decent, but the second was a very painful experience. Haven't seen the third, but I don't even want to.
This, on the other hand, looks good. It's only a short clip, but still, there's no way it could be worse than those live action turds.

another cool thing I love about this film is that it shows CG animated films are not all child friendy. but I hear it will be a DVD only release so we may not be seeing this one on the big screen.

^ Much as I'd love to one day see animation one day grow more popular with adults, the world (America in particular) still has a long way to go before it loses its 'kiddy' image.
Japan is just about the only country that really respects it, and until that changes we'll generally see direct-to-dvd releases instead of theater releases. That, and it's likely that most animated features will remain to always be under an hour and a half's length because of smaller budgets.
