new Resident Evil movie

yep, capcom and sony pictures reavealed a new Resident Evil movie in the works. With it's subtitle "Degenaration" and the movie made in entire CG (like FFVII advent children) It seems to follow the games' storyline and not the live action trilogly from Paul Anderson. Takeing place 7 years from Raccoon city and 1 year after RE4. I saw an airport in a T-virus spill with zombies everywhere. confirmed characters are Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

here is the trailer.

if this movie is cannon with the games and indeed takes place after RE4, then it seems Wesker's new Umbrella is on the move. Oh god I can't wait

^ I thought so too. I wonder if it'll have some connection to RE5...

aside from the plot, I hope one of my favorite characters from RE1 makes in or has a cameo appearence and that is Barry Burton.

The animation is drop-dead gorgeous . This is the kind of RE movie the series has deserved for a long time, live action just doesn't do it justice. I absolutely cannot wait to see this.

I was expecting another crappy RE movie, but wow, that actually looks good. I wonder if they're going to make a game for that...or does it tie in with RE5?

Anyway... Surely, I cannot be the only person that found the 3 RE movies...garbage?

They're like Spiderman...first there was one crappy movie...then another...then ANOTHER! OH GOD

I totally agree. If this is as good as advent children was, I think I may pee myself.

All 3 Resident Evil movies were nothing but a big fat poo on top of a respectable video game franchise. And Spider-Man always sucked.

"Flight of The Living Dead"

if there is such a movie called that, I would probably watch it/buy it. I love zombie horror movies. Not all of them though (House of The Dead).

Snakes on a Plane!!

All bad humor aside, trailer looks great. Hope to see a decent RE movie and not this garbage thatīs been thrown at us for quite some time now.

Was it wrong of me to enjoy RE2 because Sienna Guillory was Jill?

The fact that Spiderman 3 had the audacity to completely ruin Venom's first true live action appearance on the big screen has made me hate the whole trilogy. Yes, I realize that's not completely fair, and I'm happy about it.

Unless they bring in Carnage sometime soon, I ain't watching another.

This looks neat. I'm definitely going to check this out. The live action ones are terrible.

Ohohoh. Mr. Scott Kennedy...so nice to see you again.

...

I hope he doesn't die.

And IF ANYONE screams an equivalent to Ashley's 'LEEEEON, HEEEELP!' I will laugh. Hard.

This looks awesome, I can't wait to see what Leon's capable of in a CG action movie :3 especially after seeing what he can do in the game.

It depends. Did you like her performance or her... physical features?

**Hint: One of the two is the correct answer.**

yeah the first 2 live action movies were garbarge, but the thrid one I kinda liked. I think they brought in a new director on the third one.

back on subject yeah I hope this new one will be great. I hope it's just as gory as the games. Can't wait to see Leon pop some caps in zombie heads in CGI goodness

Wicked. I loved the first two films but was really annoyed at the quality of the third. Knowing that a new CGI one is on it's way, makes me very happy.

I thought the first RE movie was decent, but the second was a very painful experience. Haven't seen the third, but I don't even want to.

This, on the other hand, looks good. It's only a short clip, but still, there's no way it could be worse than those live action turds.

another cool thing I love about this film is that it shows CG animated films are not all child friendy. but I hear it will be a DVD only release so we may not be seeing this one on the big screen.

^ Much as I'd love to one day see animation one day grow more popular with adults, the world (America in particular) still has a long way to go before it loses its 'kiddy' image.

Japan is just about the only country that really respects it, and until that changes we'll generally see direct-to-dvd releases instead of theater releases. That, and it's likely that most animated features will remain to always be under an hour and a half's length because of smaller budgets.

I agree the first movie was good, the second sucked, and the third was ok. It wasn't as good as the first but it was better then the second.
