I would have to say either Sean Connery of Daniel Craig. I finally watched Casino Royale yesturday on Sky Movies and I have to say, it's bloody violent. The new actor suits the role.. even if his blond. Unlike the rest of the bond movies it seems like he does fall in love properly rather than making love all the time.
And as The Hero mentioned, he does seem more human than the other bonds. But obviously the latest movie has some things missing like all the gadgets and the classic Bond entering into enemy bases. If you know what I mean. |

Frankly, I haven't seen enough Bond. The only ones I have seen are Connery and Craig. I'm going to have to go with Daniel Craig I think.

Sean Connery is easily the best Bond. You simply can't beat the original.
As for #2, it's gotta be either Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Craig. I'll wait until Bond 21 comes out to make my decision.

This is quite tricky. While I'm sure that Sean Connery is my favorite double-0 seven, the movies he did aren't at the top of my list as best Bond movies, except maybe Goldfinger. So, I do find him to be the best in the way of charm, charisma, down to his appearance and general wit, but even that performance doesn't instantly make me love the early films more than the later ones.
A close second, for his short time, is Dalton. Hard-edge realistic Bond for the win. He's actually awesome in Licence to Kill. |

Sean Connery, but Daniel Craig is pretty close.
Timothy Dalton could have been pretty good if the movies he was in didn't suck so much. |

Daniel Craig - Just plays the role so well, I just cannot describe what makes him so good, he just has a more "raw" feel about him than the other bonds.

1.Moore
2.Connery 3.Craig 4.Brosnan 5.Lazenby 6.Dalton Moore is definitely my favorite. I just thought he was the most well rounded Bond. Sean Connery is a close second though. Everything that man touches is gold. |

Sean Connery or Pierce for me.
Sean nailed the Bond role. He's not the first spy actor and not the first "Bond" (books come first) but he is one of the fundmentals in the genre. Pierce's Bond tailed off his last two movies but for his first two he was spot on. Sure he was more or less Connery anewed but he could mix a comedic and serious Bond really well. |

Sean Connery is a great actor and a very good bond. I agree with DK that the movies that he is in are not my favorites and they also came way before my time.
Moore had some good movies but he just didnt feel like a bond as much as Connery did. Ive only seen Brosan in one and ive never seen a Lazenby so that leaves Craig and Dalton. For the movies they were in, I thought they did excelent. Casino Royal was an awsome action movie and Craig fit in real well. Whats the deal with people critizing him cause hes blond? The Living Daylights was pretty impressive if I remember correctly. They tie for my top two.

I have not seen any of the older Bond films so i'm going to say my favourite actor is Pierce Brosnan, I think he suits the bond character well, I also don't like Daniel Craig.

I've only watched them up to Moonraker with Casino Royale thrown in. But Sean Connery is the King! Roger Moore, well brings a more relaxed kind of Bond and I think George Lazenby should've done more Bonds, he would've of done a fine Bond. I also like Daniel Craig in the role.
As I say, I've only watched them up to Moonraker, so I don't really know about Dalton or Brosnan yet, but I get round to watching the rest of them. Last edited by Cuish; 03-18-2008 at 04:26 PM. |
