Of course jumping out you got a bit more of a chance I believe that, but crashing with the helicoptor, I don't think so.

w/e I guess I agree then. I just like to see some written document or something showing that someone has survived a helicoptor crash, thats all.
I guess in cloverfield, they weren't that high up in the sky. But when an airplane is way the hell up in the sky, and it crashes on land or in the ocean, I just cant see or imagine anyone surviving that, thats all.

Just because you cannot see it doesn't mean it can't happen.

You know why First Class is funny? It costs the most, but it's at the front of the plane. You're less likely to survive any normal plane crash (nose-first) than anyone else. If you sat a few rows from the back, your chances are much higher. In any case, you could survive. Maybe lose a limb or get a nasty cut. Factors determine the intensity of the crashing force, and other things.

Also, it's not like the helicopter was falling at maximum velocity. :/

That movie wasa totally awsome, I went to seeit yeserday and had to talk to some body about it. I assume most spoilers have been mentioned at this stage, but in case it hasn't alreay been mmentioned, here's some MAJOR theorising:

BTW, it's not mentioned on that site but the things that came off of it were more like flees on it, not its babies.

I'm going to read this now and I had a feeling these things where some sort of contaminating flees. If you look at the part where their inside the electronic store watching the news, you see those weird things crawling down the monster's feet or arm.

You made quite a good point there... For that I got nothing to say.

But still, his name doesn't deserve to be on the credits. XD

Cloverfield was really just a whale that got annoyed by spongebob and went on a rampage.

Being in the thing increases your chance of survival drastically.

First off, if it's working at all, it'll fall slower than if you were just jumping.

Secondly, it'll crumple as it crashes, reducing the rate at which you come to a complete stop.

Third, it'll actually be engineered to maximize your chances of survival in the event of a crash.
