I thought it was a solid movie and the CG was amazing you would think that it was live action. It stayed true to the poem until

Beowulf bones Grendel's Mother, which became a major plot point, also I'm not sure but I think in the poem after Beowulf ripped off Grendels' arm he followed him back to the cave and killed him there.

I think they did a good job designing Grendel, seeing as he was never given a detailed description to begin with.

Whose idea was to have Angelina Jolie play Grendel's mother?

Seriously! I always pictured Grendel's mother as some hag or ogre. I know some versions describe her as a valkyrie, but this is rediculous!

I'm not really interested in this movie, the only good movies with Angeline Jolie in it actually were the Tomb Raider series, in all honesty.

I saw it. It was a good interpretation of the story, but some parts were way to far fetched to say the least. Such as how:

It was good but the fact that they treid to make animATION TRY TO LOOK REAL was so sucky it was bad as an image i think the book wopuld have been better alot of nudity

I thought it was good. Not great, but good. To those of you who are familiar with the epic, they have changed some things around, including one major aspect of the story involving Grendel's mother. It's, at best, an interpretation of Beowulf and, at worse, a complete reimagining of it, depending on how you see it. You've been warned.

i loved it. i loved the new use of graphics but the story line skewed off the book too much. er id give it 7/10 because of the story line issues
