Meet the Parents . . .

is like, the best movie ever. Seriously.

It captures the awkward tension of family relations better than any movie I've seen. The individual scenarios are wild (though not entirely unbelievable), but the underlying conflict is very real.

This isn't the first time I've seen Meet the Parents, nor will it be the last, but it is just a great, great piece. Constantly hilarious, easy to relate to, a pleasure to watch.

My favorite parts:

-Broken vase.
-Breast pump.
-Volley Ball game
-Tension between Greg and ex fiancee
-Everything with Jinxy.

And much more.

Ben Stiller is one of my favorite actors. He does awkward well. He reminds me of myself.

I hate (most) Ben Stiller movies with a fiery passion, especially Meet the Parents. I was supposed to go to a movie with some friends, and Meet the Fockers was decided. I had just gotten my wisdom teeth taken out a few days previous, and brought my painkillers along prepared to take the whole bottle, as that's what it would take to make Ben Stiller funny for me.

There are exceptions, and I like some of his movies, but for the most part I don't like him nor any of the characters he plays.

Heh. Well, I definitely disagree with you and even have a hard time imagining how you could NOT enjoy Meet the Parents, but to each their own.
