Favorite Star Wars Character

Who's your favorite character form star wars? Mine is Dash Rendar, that guy from Shadows of the Empire.

HE'S SO COOL!

MODS: bear in mind that, even though Star Wars is most known for its movies, it also spans across video gaming, books, TV and sometimes music. It can fit into any category and frankly, this is the place where it will get the most attention.

I'd have to say my favourite character is Han Solo. He's funny, sarcastic, shifty, and yet is loyal. Harrison Ford is the ultimate ladies' man aswell. I believe his charm is vastly underrated.

Yeah, that's about the same personality as Dash. I think he's just a stand-in for Han when Han is frozen, but Dash is still cool anyway.

Luke Skywalker, he went through the most development, and a very inspiring coming-of-age character.

When you say Star Wars I a come runnin'!

WARNING: Major Starwars nerd posting!

Dash Randar is really awesome, I read some books that had him in it. I really Like Talon Karrde (Talon Karrde - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) But I really like the wookies, Lowbacca, is a relative of Chewbacca, except he is trained in the ways of the Jedi, (Image:Lowbacca.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Plo Koon, is probably one of my favorite Jedi Knights also (Image:plo Koon.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) And a HUGE amount more. PM me if you wish to start something AMAZING!

I've always been partial to normal people like Han Solo, Boba Fett, etc. who can pull off incredible feats using their wits and skills alone, without having to rely on the Force for superpowers.

And Jawas! I'm probably the only person here who actually likes the little guys, even though there's very little to admire about them.

Well, if we're bringing KOTOR into this, then I'd have to say that Carth, who is the Solo of the series, is the man. I mean, look at those bangs!

I would say that Malak was a lot better of a character. I mean, Darth Nithilus was extremely easy to defeat.

I'm not talking about ability to be defeated, I'm talking about background character, all sorts of stuff.

Han Solo, if you include all his EU backstory. Boba Fett if you take his backstory prior to the Prequal Trilogy, when it was changed to the lame clone thing. Chewie, Corran Horn, Dash Rendar, Mara Jade, there's a lot of characters I like.

In terms of a strictly EU character, than Kyle Katarn, the star of the Dark Forces and Jedi Knight games is my all-time favourite, because he's one of the few who has mastered both sides of the force and can use both without falling to the dark side (that often).

IG-88 was a pretty awesome bounty hunter as well, only making his appearance in the background in Empires. Like Galedeep, Kyle Katarn was a pretty awesome character as well.

I liked IG-88 and Dengar as far as the bounty hunters go, but Boba Fett is still the best one.

Kyle Katarn was ok, but he was only cool in Dark forces II, in my opinion.

He might of rose the Sith to power again, but all he did was shock Luke and get owned by Yoda. It all roles out in the end.

I have more than one favourite Star Wars character, but I'll name a few:

Darth Sion - This guy is just freakin' cool, nothing else to say. Not only is he just pure evil, but he's just f***in' scary with the zombie look and all. His intensity of violence is a bonus to his evil XD.

Jedi Master Yoda - Not only is he the smartest guy in Star Wars, he's a crazy-ass fighter, with all the flips and all he does in his fights. You gotta love this short guy.

Darth Maul - same reasons for Sion (except the whole zombie look thing). Maul is a cold-blooded killer, and I don't think there's a better way of describing him. His double bladed lightsaber is also why I like him. He's the only guy in Star Wars that has that kind of a lightsaber. Other than that, his tattooed skin is just scary, and it rocks!

I know, I like all the Siths. It's a habit.

So damned true. And other than him, Boba Fett and Jango Fett. Pretty much any Mandalorian ever.

Last I checked, Neither Jango nor Boba Fett were actually Mandalors, but just wore the armour. I think that the Mandalor species was extinct by the time Jango Fett entered the stories.

If you play KOTOR they are in it, and one of your refuge villages is their training camp.

And, Jango started that whole "he is from New Zealand thing." I liked Boba before he got a dumb accent.

"He's no good to me dead."

At least when Boba Fett said that, it was in a English accent. I agree With Noob Saibot, Jango had too much of a New Zealand accent. And when they give it to young Boba, AGH, so irritating!

I simply cannot believe that no one has mentioned Grand Admiral Thrawn:

Chiss > Mandalorians

If you're a hardcore Star Wars fan like unto me, you'll love reading Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn.

I'll post some more later.

Grand Admiral Thrawn is over all one of the best characters in Star Wars, I can't believe I forgot him! I even drew a picture of him awhile back. And yes. Heir to the Empire is a awesome book.

Mine would be a tie between Qui-Gon-Jinn and Darth Maul the're both very powerful, but Darth Maul only wins by a cheap shot.

Best character. Darth Maul, ftw. If only he didn't die from the first one...
