Super Mario Bros. Movie

Well, many say this movie was bad but keep in mind it is an older movie, probably came out near the release of the original mario games or something like that. Well, I want to know what you all thought about this movie, it wasn't a bad thing that Mario could actaully talk, I particularly like this movie. So, what you think?

I have it, it was a great movie. There are things I don't like about it but not enough to make me hate it. The movie is from 1993 btw, not 1986.

Oh man, that movie was bad. There was simply no denying it, after how bad they screwed up the story.

But it was that kind of movie where, you just have to keep watching because it's so bad you enjoy it. Just laughing at how bad everything is is great.

Me and my friends used to stay up all night watching it in blanket forts stuffing our faces with popcorn between Starcraft64 battles. Good times, good times.

The Mario Bros. movie was a travesty. Not only did it totally screw up Mario, but it was just a bad film in itself. It has no redeeming qualities at all. Just as Power Shot said, you'd watch it to laugh at it (just like House of the Dead), but there are times when it's literally painful to hear Mario terminology being used in such a festering heap of garbage. The Mushroom Kingdom was a big futuristic city! Bowser was Dennis Hopper! DID YOU SEE THE GOOMBAS!? Did the guy who made it even play the games?

...More like, did the writer get totally stoned at work everyday? All that movie was missing were pink elephants.

That movie is great for one reason: bashing potential. The movie is so terrible is so many ways that it's hilariously funny. Those Goombas? Priceless. Hey, let's make the Goombas these big, lizard men. And let's have one fall in love with the "Princess." Heh heh. Academy Awards, here we come.

It's a bad movie no denying that, but it is so bad its great. Everytime I watch this movie I laugh my ass off at how bad it is.

When I was little I used to love watchimg that movie! Now that I'm older I'm like, "GOD! How did I watch this and keep a staight face!" Man how I make fun of that movie now. What amazes me is that when I was little I genuinely thought it was a great film!!! Now, luckly I know otherwise.

I would give that movie a 1 out of five.
On effort... a 1.5 out of 5 since they didn't seem to try hard
On comedic stylings.... a 5 out of 5!

The movie was awful, but I loved it. The goombas were like my favorite part, they were huge with the tiny heads. I liked it when they were in the elevator or something and Luigi got them all humming a tune... maybe that's a different movie, I haven't seen it in a while. Anyway, I thought it was a bad rendition of Mario and just a bad movie period, but it makes me laugh. They should hire everyone that did that movie to make a Zelda movie.



Just kidding, I think I would kill people if that happened.

It's like you grew up in my life... My experience with the Mario movie was pretty much the same. When your a kid, u just think it's cool. But now that I'm older, I realize just how hilariously horrable it was! I still enjoy it once in a while.

One thing's for sure though:
The Super Mario Bros. movie will always be known as "The #1 reason fans voted against a Legend of Zelda movie"!

I only saw part of it at my friends house, and yes. It was pretty bad. But for some reason, some other friends of mine seriously love the movie and think it's the greatest thing ever. (Could be for the fact that it's so horrible) I just might have to watch the film from start to finish and see what I think of it.
