I know that Yahoo isn't the number one source for news but I found it while I was checking my e-mail.

Stallone to Star in Sixth 'Rocky' Movie
Tuesday October 18 7:01 AM ET

Yo Adrian! Rocky is planning another comeback. Fifteen years after starring in "Rocky V," Sylvester Stallone is reprising his role as the boxing champ in the sixth "Rocky" movie, publicist Michelle Bega said Monday.

The 59-year-old actor will write and direct "Rocky Balboa," which will begin shooting in Philadelphia and Las Vegas next year.

Stallone told the Daily Variety trade magazine the movie will focus on an aging, widowed Rocky who is reluctant to get back in the ring but ends up doing it "just to compete, not to win."

"I am drawing on a lot of my feelings that are in sync with many people's feelings about facing the last chapter of their lives and how they want it to be written," Stallone said.

Dan Taylor, president of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which is co-producing the film, said the movie focuses less on boxing and more on character.

"It's about self-examination, an opportunity to see what kind of person he is and act on it," Taylor said.

It wasn't immediately clear whether Talia Shire, who appeared in five previous "Rocky" films as the boxer's love interest, Adrian, will return in the sixth installment, said Stuart Herriot, a spokesman with Revolution Studios, which is co-producing the film.

"In the script, she did pass away, but it's unsure whether she might appear in a flashback or in older footage," Herriot said. "It's too early in the production to tell."

But, Herriot said, Burt Young is expected to return as Adrian's brother, Paulie.

Stallone wrote all the "Rocky" films and directed the second, third and fourth entries.

The first movie, released in 1976, won three Oscars, including best picture and best director for John G. Avildsen.
I like the Rocky movies but really it should of ended at Rocky V. Now it just seems like Stallone is trying to milk out the Rocky brand. Meh, that's just my opinion; what are your thoughts?

Re: Another freaken "Rocky" movie. Because Stallone needs more money.

Rocky is too exhausted of a franchise and series to extend any further in my opinion. The first movie was great and is rightfully regarded as one of the best classics. Rich in feeling and such. Moving and the action was well directed and such. The second movie was a rough continuation of the plot, but I didn't feel that it was needed at all. I thought it was good, but after the third, I don't think it's so great to watch anymore. While they were on the solid side and weren't overly terrible, they slowly wore away at the character and series. Rocky V was a neat end, but there was something missing from the movie. That Rocky feeling. Rocky VI sounds interesting and I'm sure it won't do too bad at the box offices but really, there's not so much to the series anymore.

It should have ended at Rocky IV. The last one was just stupid, but a sixth Rocky? There's only one way it will end: Rocky will be all bruised up, having flashbacks, and then he dies.

Actually, since I got nothing better to do, I will support your cause.

I've always loved the Rocky franchise and I was really dissapointed with the last one because it was a piece of crap(it had an ok ending though).I've liked all the movies except for the last one, the fourth one was my favorite and I hope I'm not dissapointed again with the 6th Rocky. I hope they finaly put the franchise to rest with a proper ending.

Sounds nothing but interesting to me. I like it when old movies/shows are brought back by the same actors, many years later.

After Rocky V, they definitely need a different movie to end the saga with...

The only thing that made me like that film was that the actor who played Rocky's apprentice was from Buffalo.

The movie sounds interesting too, it'd be cool to see it. There's a lot of old dudes that still have spunk, so being 59 and jumping back into the ring won't seem impossible.
