Favorite comic book movies.

*Note that you must choose a series. Whichever one you choose also includes any spin offs.*

So whats your favorite comic book based movie(s)? My would have to be Blade. The special effects are excellent, and they kept more of the story in tact than most other comic book movies do. The actors were well picked, and the characters were well played. The only downside is the third one. Blade Trinity was a disgrace to everything Blade.

Heres another copy of the list of choices.

Blade (Blade 1, 2, and/or 3.)
X-Men (1 and/or 2)
Superman (1,2, and/or 3.)
Batman (too many to list.)
Daredevil (Daredevil and/or the spinoff, Electra)
Spiderman (1 and/or 2)
The Hulk
Fantastic Four

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

X-men and Spiderman were good on the big screen. Looking forward to part 3 of both of them. The Best is of course Batman though. Especially the newest one, Batman Begins. Although the older ones were great aswell.

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

I loved the Spiderman movies. They were essentially two perfectly made movies. I prefered Batman Begins though. That was the Batman movie that I wanted to be made for years.

A movie based on a comic doesn't have to be a superhero film you know. You left Sin City off the list, which was one of the faithfully made adaptions of anything ever. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. Also, from Japan...Naucissa of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki was an awesome manga and movie. Finally Battle Royale, which I thought was a much better film than manga.

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

The Spiderman movies, especially the second one, have everything a good movie should. They were awesome. I also liked the X-men movies. I don't know if I like the first better than the second or vis versa. The first does have the gruesome man-turning-into-water scene that just freaked me out the first time I saw the movie, and I still am scared of it. But the second one doesn't have as much on the line as the first. ....

Uh... I liked both X-men equally. But Spiderman wins over them all.

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

I'd have to go with X-Men, especially 2, because it involved Nightcrawler, one of the coolest characters ever devised by a human mind. And, X-Men graphics were pretty good, and overall, the movie was well cast, especially Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier.

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

Batman Begins. It's easily the best Batman movie ever made and is what I consider to be the best comic book movie, as well. Sin City or Spider-Man would probably come in second.

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

I think that the X-Men movies are the best comic-book movies and I am definately going to see the third. Spiderman was also really good but both X-men movies are just slightly better.

X-Men 2, Spider-Man, or Batman Begins. They're all just so well made. I would put the second Spider-Man, but his identity crisis and the 'chocolate cake' scene kind of ruined it.

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

The first two Blade movies were both very good for what they were, just awesome action and showing off of powers and abilities. I have yet to see the third one, but have intended to for quite some time.

X-Men 1 was pretty good, but I felt that the second was better. They aren't especially great at following the storylines established in the comics, but they are still well-done. I did enjoy both of them, and can't wait for the third...though I'm slightly nervous that Bryan Singer won't be at the helm anymore.

The Superman movies are classics, though the first is by far the best. Reeve has absolutely fantastic in the role, making it believable that a man could fly.

The first two Batman movies were fantastic, the third was ok, the fourth was garbage, and I haven't seen the newest one yet.

Daredevil was awful. I didn't bother seeing Elektra

Both Spiderman movies were amazingly well done, and are up there on the list of my favourite comic book adaptations.

The Hulk was worse than Daredevil

Fantastic Four was ok for an action movie, but as far as good movies go it wasn't all that great. I enjoyed it for its entertainment value.

However, my favourite isn't on the list. (oh, for the record, Hellboy should also be up there). My favourite as said by some one already, is Sin City. By far the best comic-book (or graphic novel, whatever) adaptation out there. I can't wait for the sequal, and I have my fingers crossed that they'll use Family Values, my current favourite of all the books that I've read.

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

I loved the Spiderman movies! As for Batman Begins (shudder) to realistic, and not bright at all. I don't like movies like that. Is Kill Bill a comic book, because I must include those movies as well. Kill Bill Rox!

Batman and Spidey. But I voted Batman because Batman Begins is one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Batman Begins was realistic because Batman is easily the most realistic superhero of all. He doesn't even have powers. So, in the movie he wasn't really portrayed as a superhero because he isn't one really. And do you mean not bright as in too dark or as in not intelligent? Because it was certainly an intelligent film, delving into the psychological nature of the character, his relationships with other characters, and characterizations true to the source material.

Re: Favorite comic book movies.

I personally like the Spiderman movies the best. Number 2 was just plain awesome! I can't wait till number 3 comes out! It's suppose to have the villians Venom and Sandman in it. Batman is another great classic. Sin City was pretty awesome as well. These have to be the best I've seen so far!
