Halo Movie

As many of you all know, their is going to be a Halo Movie. I am personally exicited about this prospect. A Halo movie would be awsome.

The Halo movie is going to be developed by Universal.

Producers: Mary Parent, Scott Stuber and Peter Schlessel

Exucitive Producer: Peter Jackson (Yes you read right, Peter Jackson will be working on the Halo movie)

What do you think the Halo movie will be like? Personally I think the should have it all CGI ( that way you can use the same voice actors from the games) and be based off of the books.

Honestly, I'd rather leave the Halo series as they are. So many movies based of games have been rubbish that I've given up hope. Still... if they base the moview off the 2nd book (The Flood), it'd be nice to see what Major Silva looks like.

Actually, it is possible to do live-action and still have voice actors. Look at Star Wars Episode I: Darth Maul was played by Ray Park, but some other bloke did his voice.

I'd say it'll be pretty darn hard to get a film out of Halo that has any value at all for anyone who isn't a Halo fanboy or twit that only likes things blowing up. I admit it would be interesting (at least the first time round), but...why?

Apart from the "out to make some quick cash" idea, that is.

The Halo movie was confirmed a LONG time ago - What's new today is Peter Jackson is officially the executive producer. Coupled with Bungie's close involvemen, this news puts me a little more at ease about the movie, but I still have my fair share of doubts.

Wait a second? A movie based on the game Halo? I'm sure it will be a brilliant Oscar worthy movie.

Thank you very much, Fury Three, but I know plenty about Halo. Playing through the entire game and reading the books multiple times will do that. And unless they're basing the film on the Halo books, which is completely different to basing it on Halo itself, my comment still stands.

Then you should know that there was plenty to Halo by itself. A lot of the time you just have to be bothered to look for it (And ponder it).

Obviously if the movie attempts to simply recreate the gameplay piece by piece from the player's perspective, it would be hideous, yes, but I would think it's a safe bet they're not going there.
