Movie's Musical Scores and theme songs

Wich are your favorite Movie's Musical scores and theme songs?

Howard Shore's Score for The Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite right by Andrew LLoyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera eternal music, wich I can hear it once and again and never get tired of it....Between my favorite songs must be Into the West (The Lord of the Rings) and Think of Me (The Phantom of the Opera).

Joe Hishashi's score for Princess Mononoke is probably my favorite movie soundtrack ever. The tracks are beautifully written and not only are they perfect for the film, but they are incredibly mellowing to listen to.

Re: Movie's Musical Scores and theme songs

i love both of the songs you named, Final Dream! yes, Howard Shore and Andrew Lloyd Webber are two of the greatest. John Williams will always be in the list of great movie music, you can't leave out his masterpieces of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jaws (maybe the most recognized piece of music), Harry Potter...along with many others!

Yeah! Then again, all his work is great. I just thought Mononoke was his best. I love the Okadama theme, you know the bit where A****aka is carrying the injured rifleman through the forest. I use that track to get me to sleep at night!

Re: Movie's Musical Scores and theme songs

My favorite music scores would have to be Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard's score for Batman Begins. There's just a mystery to the score that makes it go great with the movie. Danny Elfman's scores for Spider-man 1 and 2 are great. Full of energy, but also very loving. Randy Edelman's score for Dragonheart I thought was excelt. Heart warming, and really gave the movie it's atmosphere. Then there's Klaus Badelt's score to Pirates of the Caribbean. Man, I love this score. I listen to it a lot in the car on my way to uni. It's so full of action with a good and fun beat. Also, Howard Shore's score to Lord of the Rings is the best. It really matches with the movies, and I love how he made different music to the different races within Middle Earth. It was a very big job he took up, and he did extremly well.

John Williams is probably the best composer on the planet right now. Jurassic Park, Jaws, Star Wars, Harry Potter, the list goes on and on of non-stop beatiful, rich, and very emotional music.

Re: Movie's Musical Scores and theme songs

There's loads of movie themes I love. Music in movies for me is a really big part of the experience...

- Star Wars themes, by John Williams. I like all of them, but Imperial March is my favourite one.
- Harry Potter has some good themes too. Again by John Williams. He has done a lot of other amazing themes for movies, he is a genius.

- Lord of the Rings has really good music too, Howard Shore is great.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Klaus Badelt. Just amazing music.

- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Danny Elfman. All that is just so great! It fits perfectly in the movie. Elfman has done a lot of others I also love, Mission Impossible, Batman (the Tim Burton ones), etc...
