Unleashed
Well.. just, wow! I saw this movie two nights ago, and I can't stop being amazed by it. I have found few other movies with the emotional and story elements this movie has. The raw fight scenes only make it more realistic and awesome, and the whole concept in general is untouched, aside from -as I said before, the story elements. It was not what I expected from a Jet Li movie, even after watching all the promos on the Site.
For those who haven't seen it, the whole concept from the movie is that a Boy has been trained since he was young as a dog. The gangster who owns him gets him to kill whoever he dislikes, or perhaps punish them. The movie follows how the Boy found a family who took him in after a crash which separated him from his Master. We learn the boy's past, and his mother's, and ultimately we see how the Boy changes from being a ruthless killer, to a kind man, under the influence of his new home. Of course, these story elements can be gathered from the Trailer, so I do not believe I have spoiled anything, but I found the whole thing fresh for the movie industry. This concept has never been explored before, and it's debut [so to speak] is extremely well-done. Of course, this movie has nothing on some of Jet Li's other movies [namely a majority of his Chinese ones], but for Hollywood in general this is a treat. Do we agree? Discuss.

Re: Unleashed
Lol, sorry, EA, but like I said on our chat, I didn't like the movie. The plotline... was pretty chaotic. It shifted from one timeline to another so fast that if you didn't pay attention to the movie all the time, you wouldn't know what in the world it was talking about. The camera angles were set up in a weird way that I couldn't fully enjoyed the movie. As well, a movie about a person being treated like a dog is something that I found... was rather sinister. Now, if it was anime or something like that, I probably would have enjoyed it.
The fight scenes, to me, were not as impressive as say, "The Fist of The Legend" or "Drunken Master", where the stances and fighting sequences were beautifully executed. Sure, it may seemed unrealistic for those type of movies, but to me, they were a lot better than using the same repeated movies of boxing-like fighting. Probably why I didn't like boxing matches in the first time. -_-

Re: Unleashed
I heard this movie was pretty action-packed, and a lot of people liked it. It came out ions ago however...

Re: Unleashed
It only just came out in Australia.
I was thinking about going to see it. The critics certainly didn't like it but I might give it a go. Sounds to be pretty entertaining.
