Does anybody know about Metroid movie?

If anybody has info on The Metroid movie, like when its coming out please post.

Only info I have is....there isn't one and there won't be one any time soon.

There is a director that has the rights to make a Metroid movie. So there might be one.

I heard Ang Lee was going to make it at one stage but decided not to. Shame...

I've heard nothing as of yet. Personally though, dosen't look like a promising venture. Games and movies were made as two different mediums of entertainment whose core structures are excessively on different levels. It should stay that way.

I whole-heartedly agree with you on that one. Alas, the movie industry insists on creating more Game-Based-Movies.

A Metroid movie wouldn't be that good kingskullbutt.
Metroid is a good game series but a movie would be horrible.
The movie would probably have mediocre special effects, bad acting, and some plot that was made specially for the movie.

Well it really depends on what they do. If they focus more on story than actually matching it to the game then it would probably be fine. And if there is ever a Metroid movie then it should be a anime movie.

Metroid is great game. If they make it horrible then it will disgrace Metroid. (If they even make the movie).

If they do make a Metroid movie it should be an anime like LordGanon said.
I don't see how they would do a live action Metroid movie.

I was told who has the rights to produce the movie, but I can't think of who it is... If you're really that interested/eager... I can ask whoever told me. For some reason, I think it's the guy who did either the Resident Evil movies or... someone like that. But I'm probably way off.

Yeah, no Matroid movie, please. It would just drop through the floor as if it were a school building on Jupiter. Really, I can already see the felt-looking Metroids on strings. Eghhhh...

Haha, yeah. I just realised that. It would look weird, because they would have to use tons of special effects.
