The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

OMG!! I despised this movie. You see, I was forced into seeing it because I had to go with mylittle brother to see it.
I want my 90 minutes back. :mad:
The acting was really bad, and it sounded at some parts like some of the actors were getting stage fright. It also sounds like the actors have speech problems.
The Special effects were awful, it didn't look like CG! It looked like someone hacked their N64 and made it an effects box! The effects were horribly done and were all of low graphical quality.
The Plot is overly dramatic, and way too cheesy. "ooooohhhh, we need a vehicle, Max, could you dream us one? *giggle* this is your dream world *wink". I really didn't like the plot, and I didn't like the ending either

Here is the ending in a nutshell: The Main character becomes friends with the main villain, and they don't even fight each other. After they are friends, The main character wakes up in his class room, it was all a dream. But outside, there is a tornado, so the main characters parents get sucked into it, but they are saved by SharkBoy and LavaGirl. the main character uses his "dream powers" and gives a fellow classmate the ability to freeze crap. Why didn't he just do it himself? She saves the day! Then, The main character wakes up AGAIN, and then he realizes that the entire movie was all a dream, and he gets on with his life.

Anyways, I just needed a place to rant. I know that the cheesy plot is to be (somewhat) expected from a disney movie, But there is no excuse for bad acting and poor visual effects.
Oh yeah, did I mention, The director cast HIS OWN KIDS in the movie!!!! I hate vanity actors!!!!

Anyway, there is my rant. Has anyone else had to suffer through this movie? And if you haven't, what do you think judging from the previews, or even my rants? So, what are your thoughts on this movie?

It's a kids film. It's not an action packed blockbuster. Get over it.

yes, I know, maybe I did go too hard on it, but I'm a kid, and even I didn't like it! Most other Disney movies really get you involved with the characters, when I was four, I cried at the ending of nearly every disney movie because they are always so happy. But even my 6 year old brother didn't get attached to the characters. I know that this plot is aimed at younger viewers, but if this is what the kids go for these days, then things are really different from the 90's.

lol I was forced to see this movie cause my nephews and neices wanted to see it. Yeah, it was crap- well, what I saw was crap (I ended up taking out my CD player and listening to music halfway through the movie- and I fell asleep so I don't know how it ended) But my little ones loved it. They were bouncing all over the house when we got home going on about how "totally cool" the movie was. So meh- it gave joy to my little darlings- so I can't complain. Obviously not my kind of movie but I endured it for my little ones.

I had absolutely no expectations for this movie whatsoever. I hate it with a passion. I didn't even see it. But I didn't need too, because the director also directed Spy Kids. On my top ten list of most hated movies.

This movie is a steaming piece of ****, I hated it so ****ing much it's pathetic. Everything was terrible about it.

It sure as Hell was.
