Batman 3
Okay guys. You probably heard Batman 3 has been in the works ever since The Dark Knight shot off into huge heights of fame and fortune. Well, I was checking IMDB a few minutes ago looking at Christian Bale's page and I ran across this,
![]() Now that has been there for a month or two but what I did realize that was recently was put in, ![]() (Blown up) ![]() Now everything by IMDB is checked to make sure it's legit. I'm not saying its not fake. But you know. I doubt it.. From rumors I've heard... The Riddler may be played by Johnny Depp. Or David Tennant. Please discuss.

^Agreed. I'm pretty sure the said when they first announced the movie it was going to be the riddler and that Depp might play him. Although I think Jim Carry would be to if they had him reprise his role. I really liked that riddler. Although I think after the portayal of the Joker they had, Carry's Riddler may not fit the series as well.

Since Joker didn't die. What do you think about if they get another actor to do it? Joker definitely needs to be in more Batman movies. Especially Harley Quinn.

I would like to see Harley, however I wasn't a fan of the Joker in DN. I think it was a great performance, and made an awesome movie, but Leger just seemed, I dunno I almost want to say autistic, but not quite. He wasn't out there enough. Too much quiet, stuttering, not actually smiling...but that's a whole different discussion. What I would really like to see is an Arkham Asylum: ASHoSE movie. But I guess there are many more villans to be introduced before that.

Re: Batman 3
I'm a bit worried, because, with a few exceptions, the third movies are often the weakest (Godfather III anyone?). And the Riddler can't top the Joker

Re: Batman 3
I think Alex mentioned this before, but I would imagine Mad Hatter as some pedophile in the film's atmosphere.
Well, this is surely to be interesting. I'd love to hear what became of the Joker and I'd love to see the interpretation of Riddler on this. |

Re: Batman 3
Well... I would like it if they had more villains from the comics in the next movie...
I think the Riddler will break the Joker (who knows who he will be played by?) out of jail, and bring some other villain with him... Probably not freezeman since they're trying to make this set of Batman movies more realistic. And on this movie, the police will be another villain, whom HAS to pursue the Batman

That poster is fake. Mostly because it looks terrible and the title "The dark knight" is at the bottom. and i'm sorry, the joker is the joker. No batman villain ever tops him in anything.

Re: Batman 3
I actually don't like deathstoke too much. I've always seen him too much as a third string villan. He fit in better in Teen Titans.
Mad Hatter I think would be cool to see, but with their interpritation he would come out (as Olaf Robotnik said) as a pedophile. I see him being the similar to how he was portrayed in ASHoSE. That might be a little too dark for the movie though. Killer Croc would be an interesting one. I would also like to see what Nolan would do with the more supernatural of Batman's enemies. Villains like Mr. Freeze, Clay Face, and Poison Ivy. They don't go with the more dark and realistic thing they seem to be aiming for, but we have to remember that they are part of Batman lore. And one last person to leave you all with...Bane ![]()

Re: Batman 3
...wow, it does. I couldn't see it because the photoshop artist didn't do a very good job at making it distinguishable form the horrible looking question marks in the back.
another point; isn't the IMDB section it came with called "untitled batman project"? Why does the poster have a name then?

Re: Batman 3
I don't think "The Dark Knight Returns" is suposed to be the title wether this is fake or real. I think it's playing off the sucess of the Dark Knight.

Re: Batman 3
I'm really scared about a third Batman movie.
The second film was absolutely amazing. There was enough action, enough plot, and enough underlying themes to make it all go so smoothly and feel incredibly solid. Ledger's performance is always what's commented on, but I think the writing needs some damn appreciating too. The set up, the climax, the ending, Gordon's last words before the film ends, it was so perfect. The third film has such an hard act to follow. Even for Nolan this should be difficult. The comic's are so fun because the story's so long and there's so much depth to it. I felt that Dark Knight's ending was so good because it left this window open, it set up who Batman was and what he now had to do. It set up for the comics, almost. If Nolan ventures back into this universe, what will the resolution be? Will it be like the Dark Knight, leaving our hero to save Gotham as a wanted vigilante? Or will it have an actual resolve, will Gotham finally be saved? Both of these feel wrong because Gotham is such a plagued city and it's so dark in the comics, to leave it cleansed and pure seems, out of character for it. And as for ending it like Dark Knight, well then it's just the same ending, there's nothing new. I'm confident Nolan can crank out some intense rising action, some interesting takes on Batman villain's, and stuff that really makes a great film. But as for the ending, I just don't know how it could end that would do the film justice or feel satisfying. |
