Dragonball Evolution is ...

i recently just saw a movie called Dragonball Evolution. Now usually any movie involving dragonball i will instantly like but Dragonball Evolution oh my lord a terrible movie for the average Dragonball fanboy.

Me i have watched every single dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT episode and know much about it but Dragonball Evolution is the worst thing to come to dragonball and in fact was directed by someone who has never even seen the show before. I have to give him credit though for trying to make a great movie but i just shun it the second i hear its name and I'm not the only one.

Although this movie was a disgrace for how off it was and how much it is like a parody. Especially these details like where is Gokus power pole, why is Goku 18, how come instead of piccolo being sealed by master roshis old master who did the evil containment wave piccolo is sealed by 8 so-called mages (or something like that), and GOKU'S GRANDPA WAS KILLED BY OZARUU WHEN GOKU LOOKED UP AT THE FULL MOON AT NIGHT.

Sadly this movie equaled fail in my opinion but i want to know am i the only one to notice these horrific changes and can tell this movie had the potential to be good if someone who actually watched the series had directed it?

P.S Oh and i know this movie has been out for a while but i never got a chance to see it

I love DBZ anime series, but the movie makes no sens to me. HOW CAN A WHITE PERSON BE GOKU!!!! Sorry this just confuses me so much.

Personally, I liked the movie. I watched it on a plane, Singapore Airlines to be exact! (everone fly with SA, best airline evarz)
I am a huge Dragon ball, Dragonball Z fan (GT isn't that good : <) and I think this movie was fun! There were lots of changes and everything, but it felt great to watch! They kept using some elements from DB which was pretty cool. It actually felt like DB but everything was made to be more realistic and more set to this time... or something... I don't know, I just liked the movie xD

Edit:Yeah it was a sorta good movie but compared to fact's i just cant like it for being one of the biggest fanboys of dragonball and what not.

Ah, I'm really happy they made it! Goku was not asian and stuff which was really concerning me when I saw the movie posters. Everything worked out pretty well i think! Yamcha was a weirdo dicko imo though xD They made him lame

Personally, I don't care at all what ethnicity the guy that plays Goku is.
And I have to reserve judgement on it because I havn't seen it yet. I take it that its out already?

Before it came out, I was talking with a few of my friends about it.

Me: Who would play Piccolo?
Friend: Samuel Jackson.
Me: I'M PICCOLO! RAHHHHHHHHHH! He yells in everything he does.

The movie was entertaining to me. however u are correct in saying that it is in hardly any way trying to follow the story of the shows. i thought it was ok that goku wasnt asian cuz he doesnt really look asian to me in the cartoon anyway. I think the movie had alot of potential if only they would have changed sum things. I would love to see the Vegeta/Napa battle in movie form though that would be awesome.

The movie was good as a kid's actio movie. But horrific as a Dragonball movie. Fail doesn't even begin to describe the bile that is Dragoball: Evolution.

That was funnier when Chappelle did it.

This movie sucked balls. No not because it wasn't true to the anime. No not because Goku was white [get the **** over it.] But because it was just overall a bad film. Bad pacing, bad script, bad action, awful.

From what I know, it wasn't nearly as bad as that recent Street Fighter film.
