FF: The Spirits Within

This movie was praised for its visual effects but got a lot of flack from a lot of people saying it was nothing like the games. I want to know what you guys thought about the film. Would the movie have done better if the name Final Fantasy was associated with it?

I for one loved the film.

I haven't seen it in ages, but I remember thinking it was pretty neats. Animation was impressive, and the story was somewhat interesting. I would have been more interested in developing the phantom and barricade town and less gaia save earth stuff.

I haven't seen animation as good since. Except the FFXIII cut-scenes.

I saw this movie a long-ass time ago. I was much younger when I watched it. I would need to re-watch the film again.

I haven't played the FF series, but I have watched this movie. So I can't say whether or not it follows the games at all.

But the animation was beautiful and the overall plot was good. Though I would have liked a bit less of save Gaia and a bit more information on how the general backstory.

Overall I really enjoyed the movie.

I hated this film because it just seemed really pretentious to me. Advent Children was actually better in my opinion.
